Hi Y’all,

Fresher than fresh Monday and it’s as cold as autumn out there.

First off, congratulations to LA Lakers. Great match last night, yeah. Worth staying awake and watching the game. It’s been seven years since the last championship, still it feels like it was just yesterday.

I’ve been running on some extra charge the whole day handling business and will now get some well earned rest.

That being said, I will post Vintage 0901 – Week X -edition in a bit. But first easy start this week with some fresh kicks that caught my eye this weekend.

Interesting enough, Greedy Genius, sneaker brand known from its collaborations with the likes of Bun-B of UGK and Yoropiko (by Martin Ksohoh), has collaborated with Japanese photographer Yone, whose work, especially his QUOLOMO collaborations I have mentioned in several instances. The newest collaboration takes the form of Cool Breeze sneaker by Greedy Genius and includes photography by Yone. The shoe is expected to be released in two colors although I have not been able to dig out official release date yet.

Another pick of the week is Nike Hypermax NFW (No Flywire). The shoe is inspired at least color-wise by the Back to the future series and Marty McFly respctively. Another example of 80′s being the word of the day. These glow in the dark sole sneakers are available in limited quantities next month from selected Nike retailers.

Summer is sneaker season, no doubt, so numerous brands are bringing out new styles and designs, and this week alone there could be a serious list of new kicks to talk about but I limit myself to only three picks this week, heh.

Last but not least is Nike Air Max 1 Premium sneaker, a collaboration with  Chinese baseball player Chien-Ming Wang. The shoe is clearly inspired by baseball with very visible contrast stitching. The inventive use of baseball stitching caught my eye and I feel the shoe is a fresh addition to great Nike releases this season. A very fresh pair of kicks.

That’s it for now. I’m still in good spirits from the Lakers victory, we popping bottles like we just won the championship game! Literally, heh.
