Vintage 0901 – Week XVI & XVII

by on Aug.11, 2009, under Headlines

Hi Y’all,

Greetings and hope your day has started well.

Mine started with an early wake-up. Got plenty of work done as well. I firmly stand behind the idea of waking up and starting your work early. There are no people around you and you surely get a lot more done with no distractions. Then you have the rest of the day all open for impromptu work and other stuff like updating your blog, heh.

That said, I promised another update on the 0901 project, which is pushing ahead nicely, although it’s still far away from my previous denim project. I must however note that in my opinion my current Momotaros have kept their color perhaps even better than my RMC project from sometime back. But hey, every brand has different fading qualities as the fabrics are very different. But just to show what I mean check the picture below.

Now, my Momotaros are getting a nice lighter blue as a result of wear and washes. Still the more faded parts of the jeans naturally fade faster. But what I can say is that I do like the way the jeans are developing. I have plenty of nice jeans, but right now these are definitely my favorites, heh. But do note that such favoritism does not excist in my vocabulary and all of my jeans are dear to me.

Just a few detailed pics this week. I was planning to post some fit pics, but I guess I’ll leave that to next edition.

Lastly I thought it would be nice to see the difference between a fresh pair of Vintage Label Momotaro jeans and my worn (but barely torn) pair of Momotaros. The difference is pretty visible, loving the evolution.

The jeans still have a long way to go before I will start another project. It has been merely few months and the jeans have faded really nicely, can’t wait how these will look in six month’s time.

Cool, that’s all for now. There’s plenty to do and plenty to see. Stay focused and remember to enjoy the journey. I’m out, peace…
