Watch this space

I love watches. Big, small, analog, digital – in all shapes and sizes. As long as they look ridiculously good. And the new G-Shock Rescue does. I don’t know about you guys, but the bright red really reels me in… Like the winch of a rescue helicopter… Incidental? Unlikely, as the major inspiration behind this watch were search-and-rescue teams.

However, that is not the only pretty piece of brainiacal brilliance Casio has put forth. KIKS TYO designed the 25th Anniversary special edition watches for G-Shock. Skull-and-bones (I doubt that there’s any connection to Skull and Bones) on the background for all you modern day scallywags, bloodspatter (I wonder what Dexter would make of it?) encasing all through the strap and, of course, the trademark withstand-anything-short-of-a-direct-nuclear-explosion manufacturing of all G-Shocks. What’s not to like?

But the goodyness does not end here. When KIKS collaborates, they really collaborate. In addition to putting themselves on the G-Shocks, they also put the G-Schocks on themselves. Behold the commemoration T-shirts of the 10th anniversary of Street Jack, a Japanese street fashion magazine.

All these things boil down to how they sang it in the Best Christmas Carol of All Time: I want!
