UN declared 2009 as the “International Year of Natural Fibres”. Wait. What?

Whew. What a ride this past year’s been. Luckily the safety bars held us in place. Maybe not on the account of fibres, even though it must be admitted that they’re still a very important part of your diet. Keep things where they’re supposed to be during these crazy rides. Personally one of the best bits of the ride was starting to write here. And thank you for your welcome. I hope to be as pleasing in the future as I’ve been these past few months.

Let’s not get all mushy since we can’t discuss something that’s in the past without bringing in something for the future. Back to it? Partly yes, as we at NDH are delivering a few new monthly articles for your pleasure, starting with… drumroll please…

1. Denim Icons. Yes. Your marlonbrandos, jamesdeans, marlboromans and possibly even japaneseprimeministerswives (if she keeps doing what she has so far). All the people who’ve had an effect on how jeans are seen and worn and whose contributions we appreciate.

2. Denim Advertising. The prints, commercials and campaigns which, well, which we think are cool. Do we need another reason to please you? Didn’t think so.

3. Stuff to wear with your denim. Not a specific title, but the purpose of this is to share all the cool stuff we’d wear with our denim, so that you could do it too. Treat everything posted under this category as your personal shopping list. Even, and especially, when the item in question is a 1948 Harley Davidson Panhead.
