Stuff to wear: The next level

Hi Y’all,
It’s Monday but it feels like Sunday since we’re still on holiday here in cold old Finland. I did not post anything yesterday since I wanted to “take a day off”. I spent the whole day reading comics and watching movies. Only went out for a quick stroll and to get some fresh air as the weather has been horrid, cold and gloomy. But what’s nicer than spending quality time with your wife watching good movies. Well although I am still planning to continue our movie marathon I wanted to share a little something with you and yours.
I just have to share my initial experiences with the Marvel App. I love it. I mean I am still waiting for my iPad, but I am getting a preview to the program through my iPhone. I now understand why some referred to the iPad as the print killer. I read the New Avengers #1 from 2004 and I have to say the reading experience was even better than the one I get reading comics from my notebook. With the iPad, I am sure it’s going to be even better. Marvel is making pioneering moves by going digital. And by going digital I really mean going digital. I am sure others will follow close behind but I can definitely see myself reading more comics as I can really do that everywhere I go. Although I encountered few bugs and crashes, the reading experience was really nice. I recommend trying it out yourself. Just tap, pinch and swipe from box to box and page to page. Preview and download the comics straight to the App or buy the comics in Print. Simply awesome.

Now, to continue with today’s Stuff to wear edition which is actually tied up to the world of social media.
I have been rocking a Tokyoflash Pimp watch for years already and I really love my Pimpin ain’t easy SS chrome/blue watch. However I do keep my eye on the Tokyoflash updates and their recent concepts have gotten me really anxious. Their latest addition “Instant Trend” does not just present time in a cool and unusual way, but also keeps you posted with what’s going on in your social media circuit.
The watch enables you to get your Twitter and Facebook updates to your wrist with the integrated Bluetooth which you can pair with your smartphone. Cool or what? I mean I mainly use Twitter to keep myself updated with what’s going on and the watch helps you keep up with what’s going with your friends and news all over the world. According to Tokyoflash, you can scan through recent notifications by pressing the buttons and read the the time, just by adding the blocks; 12 blocks for hours, 5 blocks for groups of 10 minutes and single minutes 1-9.

I love the black concept design but would also love to see this in chrome and maybe including different screen colors. Nevertheless, this is a very nice idea and hopefully the concept sees the daylight soon. During these times one needs to look ahead into the future instead of staying in the past or the present. The world is always in need of pioneers and we sure retain a future state of mind. Respect the old ways but keep your mind open for innovations.
That said, my regards from the future, all the best and see you tomorrow!
