Copper G003-MB – Week XVII

Good afternoon World!
It’s a bit chilly and gloomy Saturday afternoon in Finland, perfect day for brainstorming, working and cleaning your apartment. I’m not letting the weather hold me down, no sir. Tonight I’m finally getting a chance to go and see the Iron Man 2. I know the movie will rock, it will be extremely difficult to be totally objective about it though. Nevertheless I’ll watch it and write a little about it later just to let you know what I think. Don’t believe everything you read in the reviews, watch the flick and decide for yourself. My only concern is that the cinema will not play the movie until the end of the credits. Yes folks, you should stay there and watch the movie until the very end for some additional material.
So what else is good today, other than my mood? Well you can now spot my Momotaro Jeans Copper Label project on the Denim Archive. A nice initiative that collects fresh denim projects from different brands and shows the evolution of these jeans. According to the source, “Denim Archive is a place for denim inspiration presented in a photographic collective submitted by a community centered around the lifestyle of denim and good style.” (Denim Archive) So be sure to check what’s the deal.
Back to the project, since I already posted the jeans on the Momotaro Jeans Facebook page as well as Denim Archive, it would be wrong for me not to add the pictures on the blog already today.
First off, the front of the jeans.
The creasing has developed a nice set of whiskers on the front of the jeans, more appear every day and the creasing is not just forming in one direction but rather creating lines in all directions.
Then to the back. The left side has like three lines forming “ass whiskers”, fortunately there’s some creasing on the right side as well. The left back pocket has faded much more than the right one since I’m still carrying more stuff in my left back pocket than the right one. Maybe I should move the stuff to the right side and see what happens. Nevertheless, the back looks as good as the front.
The belt loop has faded nicely, no twill breaking yet though.
The leather patch is fully intact, not surprising considering it’s under the belt most of the time. It does look a bit darker than before, not sure if it’s just me or has the patch gotten slightly darker shade in the past few weeks?
The back of the leg creasing, or honeycombs as they are often referred to as, are totally different from my previous project. More obvious and there are much more lines than last time. You can also see the “knee whiskers” which have surfaced in the past few weeks as well.
All those walks in the snow have left their mark on the project. The snow lines have made their mark and both of the legs have probably the most fading.
Last but not least a picture that nicely shows the faded blue and the dark original color in the seat/crotch region. No crotch rips with these jeans. Just fading. The picture also shows the seat whiskering quite nicely.
That’s all for now, I have more Momotaro project reports coming in soon as well as a lot of other stuff. Don’t forget to comment on the “Soap Box”. You can ask us any questions and we’ll get back to you accordingly. You still have time to pre-order your Europe Label – Momotaro Jeans. The deadline for the pre-orders is Sunday 9th of May 2010.
Enjoy the weekend everyone, I know I will. Peace.
