Stuff to wear – What’s in your pocket?

What’s in your pocket?
Back in the day it was likely that you would have found a time piece in your pocket instead of your wrist.

A pocket watch is an accessory that had its run during the more formal days as I might call them. Still this beloved accessory has never really disappeared and I somewhat foresaw its return few years ago and even got an old vintage pocket watch back into working condition. Still the whole concept has yet to really reappear in the mainstream “fashion scene”. I wonder how did the pocket watch advocates feel when someone introduced the all so familiar wrist watch to the public? Needless to say people love their wrist watches.
However I was recently happy to find out that the forerunners in the watch game are thinking back and putting a modern twist into an age old classic. A nice little follow up on the Kisai Broke post I wrote last week. This week’s watch edition goes to Kisai Round Trip pocket watch.
According to Tokyoflash we’re talking about “an exciting innovation on the traditional pocket watch, featuring an irresistible dark lens, bright digital tubes and an intuitive new way to view time. Are you ready for the ride?” (Tokyoflash.com)

The pocket watch would definitely look good on a key chain or worn with a chain in your pocket like pocket watches usually are. Stainless steel case, dark lens and flashing, colorful LED lights will without a doubt keep you in time. The different colors represent hours, groups of 3 minutes and single minutes. It might look confusing but after few minutes you can check the time the same way you would from your typical analog watch.
Can we sense the re-emergence of a pocket watch or is this just a fad? If you ask me, it’s all good as long as you stay in time. It’s kind of nice to see people thinking outside the box or their wrists and bringing something “new” to the game. Since people like to dress smart but mix fresh looks to older styles a pocket watch should be a must accessory to anyone in the know.
That said, I will leave you with a question, what’s in your pocket?
Stay safe everyone. I’m out, peace!
