I’m not sure what’s the thing with fighting games and why are they so much fun? I mean I can warmly remember the hours and hours spent in front of Playstation, Xbox or computers just playing fighting games like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken and Dead or Alive. The ones that are especially close to my heart (although all of them are) are Tekken and Street Fighter. I mean Street Fighter is just classic and Tekken, well it’s Tekken. So what would happen if these two classics merged? You can stop guessing as Street Fighter x Tekken game was officially announced for PS3 and Xbox 360 few days back at the Comic-Con.

Now I have to confess I’m pretty damn hyped about this. Not even sure why but I just am. Take a look at the trailer and demo video below and perhaps you will share even some of my excitement.

The below video is from the Comic-Con. Folks apparently went nuts and I can’t blame them.

They have retained that Old School 2D fighting but mixed this with tons and tons of details and tag team battles. I mean just look at the expressions and such. Looking good, looking pretty damn good. We will still have to wait a bit for the release but based on what I have read this one might actually rival Marvel Vs. Capcom.
