We’re still waiting for the NBA season to kick off and majority of the players are either training, or traveling across the globe training kids in the art of basketball.

Or just making crowds crazy like Kobe did on his Asian tour.

But although the draft and trade rhumba is over and it’s like we’re in the eye of the storm waiting for the new season to kick off, the NBA related goodies are already popping out of creative minds crews like MINDstyle and CoolRain.

Korean designer CoolRain has teamed up with toy brand MINDstyle in production of NBA-themed mini figures. The figures include NBA stars such as Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Garnett, Derrick Rose, Dirk Nowitzki, Brandon Roy, Steve Nash, Manu Ginobili, Amare Stoudemire and Dwayne Wade. It will be interesting to see if the collection will be limited to these key players or whether there will be more players/toys released in the future.

All I can say is that I’m pretty impressed with the looks of the series. A nice blend of the classic MINDstyle with the creative dedication of CoolRain. Hope this collaboration expands to fields outside NBA as well, but for now we’re just happy to see this set of collectible toys.
