Iced out iPhone 4

by on Oct.15, 2010, under Headlines, Toys, Games and Gadgets

It’s not long ago that I published an article about diamond encrusted iPhone 4 and solid gold iPad. Well, the man behind these refined gadgets, Mr. Stuart Hughes is back with another one. This time it’s also an iPhone, although this one goes even further in the bling-scale. We’re talking about probably the world’s most expensive phone valued at £5 million that consists of “bezel handmade from rose with approx 500 individual flawless diamonds which total over 100ct.The rear section is formed using rose gold with the added touch of its rose gold Apple logo and 53 diamonds. The main navigation is made from platinum which holds a single cut 7.4ct pink diamond.” (Stuart Hughes) If you want to further customize the phone there is an option of adding a 8ct single cut flawles diamond to replace the pink one. The box itself is not too bad either. Made of a single block of granite with nubuck top grain leather lining. Then again this type of box is a minimum requirement when we’re talking about a £5 million phone. If you ask me, it should come in a safe. But if money ain’t a thing and your life is all about lemons and honey, millions of money, go get the phone. You can be sure that there will only be one other person in the world with the same phone as only two are produced.

Found and attached a video with Mr. Hughes introducing his creations, I guess he would not be producing these gadgets unless there were buyers. Who knows? But does this type of flaunting get under your skin or do you appreciate the jewelry artistry? For I really salute the goldsmiths/artisans behind the hand made jewelry, no matter how ridiculously extravagant the outcome might be.
