Marvel goes Tron
by Taavi Kuisma on Oct.19, 2010, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Headlines
Tron seems to be taking over the markets from replica motorcycle outfits, to video games and even comic books. Of course Tron itself is a franchise that will (and most likely has) a comic book of its own, but with all the hype revolving the release of Tron: Legacy, comic book giant Marvel has produced Tron variant covers for the new comic book releases. Famous characters from Spider-Man to Ghost Rider styled in Tron theme still looking like their respective selves.
I like these type of crossovers, although I’m not a big fan of Tron Wolverine’s claws, which look way off. However Ghost Rider and Spider-Man look pretty cool. The other characters released this far include Spider-Woman, Quicksilver and Captain America in addition to the above mentioned Spider-Man and Ghost Rider. I am sure we will see more characters with a Tron makeover but until then feast your eyes on the variant covers released online this far.
For more information on the variants and Marvel news in general check out Marvel on Facebook.

Of course directly after I clicked the Publish button, they released a pic of Iron Man’s Tron variant, which I just had to add to the post since it is pretty damn cool as well.
