I can’t help but to express my enthusiasm with my latest discovery. I posted pics of the Nike Zoom Kobe V 5 Rings Ring Ceremony Kicks few days ago and now images of an all exclusive package inclusive of these shoes have surfaced. Although some are vary of gimmicks when it comes to branding or products in general, I humbly believe that a nice package highlights the exclusive features of a product. This is obvious of The Year Of… cans and Red Monkey Jeans wooden box, just to name few examples. So how about a fresh pair of kicks in an exclusively designed humidor? Yes you read it right, humidor.

Apparently these exclusive kicks have an even more exclusive packaging available in very limited numbers (24 pieces worldwide if I read it right). The package includes wood grain humidor, the black mamba humidor, the shoes, a T-shirt and a suede bag for the shoes and a key to the cigar box.

I love the details and of course the contents. The images are influenced by the athlete, his moniker the Black Mamba and his five championship rings. The cigar aspect fits well to the Ring Ceremony theme as a good cigar is one great way to celebrate. Of course it does not really tally with the sports approach but I am sure Kobe himself smoked a cigar after the last title.

Only thing missing is some Cigar Music to finish the complete package. To fill the gap I recommend a release from Rick Ross titled Cigar Music.

If you are planning to get this package (which I was until I saw the prices) be prepared to shelf hundreds if not thousands of dollars as two of the packages I found from eBay have a price tag of $4500-$5000. Of course this could be some eBay madness, but being as exclusive as it is, I am sure the package will fetch high prices no matter where you find them.

So is this form of luxury just a gimmick or an awesome casing for an awesome product? This set gets my acceptance so what about yours?
