Since I first saw the clips and pics of the Nintendo 3DS I kind of figured more and more gadgets would soon feature a glasses-free 3D display. I just didn’t think we would see 3D display mobiles this soon. Well, Japan’s Softbank has teamed up with Sharp in production of glasses-free 3D Android handset. The phone is launched under Japan’s Softbank network in form of touchscreen 003SH and QWERTY equipped 005SH phones.

Both are equipped by Android Froyo OS and naturally 3.8 inch 3D display. All the techy stuff aside there is also a deal with Capcom with preloaded games such as Mega Man, Resident Evil and Ghosts ‘n Goblins. Gaming was the first thing I thought when I saw pics and details on the phone. Competitor to Nintendo 3DS? Maybe not, but it does give folks at least in Japan another reason to question their next iPhone purchase.
