While back we posted a preview of a Gagosian Gallery exhibition by Takashi Murakami. The exhibition starts on October 15th at Gagosian in Rome and features (in addition to Murakami’s past works) two new paintings by the artist finished for the exhibition. The two new paintings titled “Dragon in Clouds – Red Mutation and Dragon in Clouds – Indigo Blue showcase the Murakami’s evolution as artist with a somewhat different style, which still stays true to his style. The massive artworks feature simplistic approach with only red and indigo color, creating a modern take on the mythological creature. If you happen to be in Rome, this is an exhibition you don’t want to miss.
