Still haven’t bought anything for your friends, family, girlfriend/boyfriend, neighbors and their kids? Do like I did to escape the horrible last-minute shopping and stress: bake your own gingerbread biscuits! Now, to avoid my Christmas-post looking like a home-cook’s advertisement, I’m telling you that I’m not a professional. Probably I don’t have to prove it, but if you read the last phrase of my previous post, you’ll certainly believe me.

This was my first time doing these biscuits from the dough to the icing all by myself. I managed to save some biscuits from greedy mouths for you readers. Below a description of my little Christmas-adventure in the kitchen.

I started with these hands…

…Tasted the icing that got its flavour and color from the berries I and my mother picked last summer in our backyard…

…And finally ended up wishing “Happy Holidays to Everyone” on a baking sheet. I actually ran out of icing a couple of times, therefore some letters look funny and the smiley is not as pink as the letters!

These fingers surely are made to be licked.
