Yuketen Mailman Bag

by on Feb.12, 2011, under Accessories & Luggage, Headlines

I like luggage and bags just like I like my jeans and sneakers. Bags are just functional and I am actually looking for a perfect bag to carry the necessary stuff along when I’m out. I have my duffel bag but that’s just way too big of a bag to carry around on daily basis. Something functional, easy enough to carry around but spacious enough for my notebook, camcorder, maybe an iPad and random stuff you just need to fit in a bag. A messenger bag is awesome in the sense that it’s easy to carry around and still looks pretty professional in comparison to bagback, that just has that “schoolboy” look to it and the backpack just doesn’t fit every outfit in the closet.

The latest bag that caught my attention is the Yuketen Mailman Bag. This simple yet awesome bag is based on the bags used by the U.S. Postal Service in the ’30s and ’40s. Yuketen does classic rugged made in U.S.A. footwear and luggage in artisan spirit. The Mailman Bag does not fall far behind. The bag is made of all American materials with heavy duty canvas with a leather strap as well as brass closure buckle and nickel-plated hand-pounded copper rivets.

The bag looks pretty awesome and I bet it is one of those long lasting bags that just get better with age. Normally you would expect heavy price tag on sucha bag, but this one is available for approximately 300 euros only. Not too bad either for a hand made product.
