Project Wear and Tear – Weeks VI & VII

by on Mar.30, 2011, under Fashion and style, Headlines, News & Events

This week’s summary is actually a summary of the past two weeks. A lot has happened and we’re just trying to keep up with what’s going on on all fronts. But before things get really out of hands, here’s an action packed summary of the Project Wear and Tear.

Ika’s pocket lining got its first denim bleeding treatment. Interesting enough this only happened on the Japan’s flag’s side, not the Canadian flag detail.

My personal journey took us to Langkawi. A long story, but in summary we did go for some jungle trekking. For the rest of the story, click the picture below.

The jeans got their first treatment of tear as the pink stitching unraveled during our jungle trip. My own fault for jumping over fences too high, but nothing a needle and some string could not fix.

Julia introduced her jeans to even more snow. A commodity that just does not seem to run out or melt in Finland.

Mario took a journey of his own, this one to Shanghai. Pretty awesome trip at least based on pictures. Check the first part of the journey by clicking the picture below.

Shanghai nights…

Our latest participant, Timmy started his project and included a picture of a very big bird in the post, for the rest of the pictures. Check out Project Wear and Tear’s site.

The fifth update on my jeans featured some pics of the jeans post washing. The jeans are fading fast, that’s all I can say.

Mario showed some detailed pics of his jeans as well.

Rob’s 0901 has been in some serious wear and the denim has marks to show this. Pretty impressive evolution this far. Interesting to see how much the Vintage Label jeans can evolve in the next year.

All of the projects are proceeding nicely and this week has produced some pretty awesome posts as well. For more, check out Project Wear and Tear.
