We have gotten a privileged opportunity to introduce yet another great Japanese denim brand to the Nordic Denim House catalog. This time we could be striking gold with a brand established back in 2006 named aptly, Strike Gold.

The brand is a fusion of old American style combined with Japanese tradition. The old days shine through the fabrics and designs and reflect the essence of Japanese Craftsmanship and what high quality denim is all about.

The brand pursues constant improvement and innovation. The craftsmanship and effort put into making each product is apparent in every product. Strike Gold products use the best materials and process through a meticulous manufacturing process.

Like other brands we works closely with, Strike Gold believes clothing is nothing without the wearer and the individual’s characters is reflected on the jeans. No pair is like the other as every piece ages differently. The pure indigo dye fades gradually showing one’s lifestyle on the surface of the denim. If 10 people all wore the same design, all 10 pairs would end up looking different after some wear.

Strike Gold makes a bold statement saying, you will never be able to wear other jeans.

This will not be the last post I will make on Strike Gold, but below are some details on the brand and few pictures to showcase the brand’s essence. I have to say the gold selvedge got me, as if the other details didn’t.

The jeans come in four series (for the time being):

- Regular series
14 oz selvedge denim woven with vintage shuttle looms. Rough and rugged denim that fit comfortably and age nicely. The series comes in Original Straight, Regular Straight, Tight Straight, Super Tight Straight and Boot Cut styles.

- Real finish
Aged jeans that have been pre-washed and pre-distressed to have that naturally worn look. The label comes in Original Straight, Regular Straight, Tight Straight, Super Tight Straight and Boot Cut styles.

- Tough series
Original 17 oz selvedge denim that uses beige weft. This gives the denim a worn, aged look to sync with the workwear tradition. The denim is woven with power loom with maximum thread count for a massive look.
The Tough Series comes in Original Straight, Regular Straight, Tight Straight and Super Tight Straight cuts.

- Extra heavy series
22.74 oz selvedge denim woven with special shuttle loom dedicated for thick denim fabric. These pieces require time and effort as producing such heavy duty is a skill on its own. Perfect for heavy duty wear.
The Extra Heavy series comes in Regular Straight, Tight Straight and Boot Cut designs.
