Strike Gold – Sizing and pricing

So how do the Strike Gold jeans fit? We’ve gotten some questions on the measurements, sizing and fitting of the jeans and being that our working relationship with Strike Gold Denim has only started, we rely on the expertise of our friends in Japan for the measurements and sizing.
The jeans just like any raw denim fit a bit bigger initially (roughly 7-8% across the jeans). The jeans will shrink about and inch and a half after washing and drying. One curious thing about Strike Gold jeans is that the front and back rise are a bit lower in comparison to other Vintage Denim brands. Just as with any jeans, Strike Gold jeans stretch over time after plenty of wear and shrink with washes. Tough Series from the brand tends to shrink a bit after the second wash as all of the starch won’t come off with the first wash/soaking. Although the jeans do stretch, I heard that in Japan, customers often size up one size for the jeans. I believe this applies especially to the tighter fits.
Below you can find pics, details and measurements of the different styles. Please note that all of the measurements are in “washed sizes” and there is some error margin with the measurements due to individual differences between the hand made jeans.
