The product has the standard shock- and water-proof functions of a G-Shock watch a newly designed stainless steel frame with a bright lid LCD display and pink shell with Murakami’s signature on the wrist and a special stamp on the back of the watch. It’s not a bad looking diving watch with it’s pink casing, display box and flowery pillow in the box. The watch also has a moderate pricing with a price tag of only 310 000 Yen. It could be much more too.

The watch is designed to take on harsh conditions and I would love to see someone put this pink watch through the test of elements. Although I am sure it will be the collectors who acquire this watch and it will seldom leave it’s box. Still, nicely done Mr. Murakami, you got the world talking once again. And I guess it’s just a start let’s see what other timepieces he has in mind…

I’m glad that we can expect to see many of the already familiar actors in their respective roles coming back for the movie. One surprise is the Mark Ruffalo’s casting as Bruce Banner / Incredible Hulk. I guess he has the looks to pull off the role. But it’s sad that this great character has had so many actors already. I liked Edvard Norton’s role in the Incredible Hulk we saw few years back but I have trust in Mark Ruffalo’s abilities to win over the fanboys and girls.

So now we only need to wait two more years to see the Avengers Assemble. But fear not, next year we still have Captain America, Thor, Green Lantern and so many more titles to look forward to. Mark my words, next year is gonna be an awesome movie year.

I kid you not, there seems to be a true Shirtless Kirk product out there. Now I have never smelled this before but I would imagine there are plenty of Trekkie dudes who smell like, well “shirtless Kirk”. I can just imagine an Old Spice Spoof with a Trekkie in a Star Trek uniform quoting the words of Isaiah Mustafa promoting Shirtless Kirk! I’m the man your man could smell like!

Of course if you’re a bit more inconspicuous and prefer a “milder” scent and to quote my good friend “a little less on the nose, if you will.” you can opt for Tiberius!

The sanforized 14 oz denim is produced by Rampuya (Japan Blue Momotaro Jeans)  and carefully chosen by the brands and the hardware such as rivets, hidden rivets and buttons are also from Momotaro Jeans. The Jeans are finished with Union Special Chain stitching and feature a sheep skin patch with graphics representing both brands. The fit for the jeans is Naked & Famous Skinny Guy. The style of the jeans is kept clean, that is no decorated back pockets or such.

The world has been mine for the taking the entire morning, it’s just that I couldn’t get out of bed. I guess the last few days have been somewhat tough since I slept like 9 hours non-stop and still had trouble getting out of bed. But that’s cool. It only happens every now and then, and hey at least I’m up and on my feet.

We’ve got a little advertising edition (a lot of these lately) with some new Nike 6.0 spots featuring RZA mixing beats for Garret Reynolds, Kolohe Andino and Ryan Dungey to kicks tart your morning. These spots are pretty much full of action and show the producer RZA in his element doing what he does best. Produce beats for these ads. The legendary Wu-Tang Clan was in Helsinki last night, alas I missed the concert due to work but hey at least I still got all the albums to listen to.

Writing and all that creative stuff drew me toward the world of advertising and even before I worked in the agency environments I always knew I wanted to have something to do with ads. I really like the entire creativity of the adverts and the work that goes into making an ad that actually makes people click.

No, we will not be sharing any Old Spice ads (although we probably should). Instead I thought of posting few other ads I found hilarious. Now these ads don’t necessarily work for everyone. I mean if you’re not into the shoe game and not a sneaker freak, you might even find the ads silly. But Foot Locker is really able to reach those who love their shoes. Pictures speak a thousand words, so I guess video speaks a million. So take a look and let us know what do you think of the ads. Like em’ or not, in the end it’s just a sneaker thing.

I know I posted this once already, but since it’s funny here’s a rerun of the Foot Locker Spank.

Now I have to confess I’m pretty damn hyped about this. Not even sure why but I just am. Take a look at the trailer and demo video below and perhaps you will share even some of my excitement.

The below video is from the Comic-Con. Folks apparently went nuts and I can’t blame them.

They have retained that Old School 2D fighting but mixed this with tons and tons of details and tag team battles. I mean just look at the expressions and such. Looking good, looking pretty damn good. We will still have to wait a bit for the release but based on what I have read this one might actually rival Marvel Vs. Capcom.

And since we’re already on the fighting mode, I thought of sharing a video you might have spotted already. A funny little clip that went viral and has gotten folks sharing it all over the web. I present to you Jane Austen’s Fight Club.

Yes the good old Kenner Star Wars action figures which have been followed by Hasbro, Lego and so many more. Star Wars is still the most successful toy franchise in the world and not without a reason. It would seem that everything in the Galaxy far far away can be made into a toy or a collectible. Or, it could be said that everything about the franchise can be turned into a marketed product. Just think about the Adidas x Star Wars collection or the most recent Star Wars x Medicom Kubrick series.

Or if that’s not enough for you, you can also opt for the Kubrick 400% Silver C-3PO. This limited edition Kubrick Droid is available from Medicom in August, but the pre-orders start at the end of the month.

Medicom’s collaboration is just the latest one, but Star Wars has been and still is on every corner, like it or not. It will be interesting to see how the Star Wars will be the part of the next generation being that it had such a huge impact on us. There are more and more Star Wars series and games coming out not to mention the availability of the classic movies (where’s the HD re-release at?). My kids will definitely be exposed to the Star Wars just for the fact that I’m such a huge fan of the movies, but I have a hunch they will be more into the Jedi Knights cartoons and Lego Star Wars games than the actual movies. We’ll see how that goes.

Nonetheless, the jeans are looking dynamite, following the Gold Label post I would say that the blue is almost that of a Gold Label (not even close). But there is still another 6 more months before these babies get any rest.

I have not had the time to take proper pictures of the jeans in their current state but I’m making up for that this week. So first off, the damages.

The cuffs are getting pretty banged up, but yet they remain intact. You can’t really count the stitching as the hems are still in their full form with no rips.

The right pocket fabric has been a bit torn, but since the tearing is places in between the stitching the pocket also remains intact, jsut includes some added edge with the tearing.

The twills have broken a bit in the crotch, inseam and back of the knees, but just one pic below to show you what I mean.

What I’m really happy about is the constant whiskering and evolution that happens on the surface of the denim. The washes have not slowed down the evolution at all. It’ more like the effect is getting stronger and the signs of wear are more obvious.

The back of the knees or the honeycombs are developing nicely. I’m pretty sure the summer heat and constant sitting in font of the computer is doing its fair share of the development.
