Today is my day. Finally, (after is missed the postman yesterday) I received my Northern Denim Co and I could not be happier. The denim, the fit, the color, the feeling while wearing is absolutely gorgeous. Taavi, you more than lived up to your promises. Congratulations! Lukily I choose for waist size 36, fits me perfect!
The postman saw me smiling like hell when he gave me his portable computer to sign that I received the package. He returned the smile and knew that I was expecting something valuable, which I did.
Folks, if you have been following this blog for some time already you know that I like skateboarding a lot. In the past I have posted a skateboard video here and there ( mostly on the good old and no longer existing soapbox and Taavi has put it up on the blog here). Today, my browsing has let me to another skate video, it is actually a series of 3 vids, in Japan. These guys take skateboarding to another level and I really love their tricks. Grab a beer tonight and check out these videos. This is an order!!;-)
Although I am not a real big fan of longboarding this video made me change my mind. I stumbled across this piece of quality entertainment and gave it a chance and so should you! Watch it since the vibe, the tricks, the music, the speed are fantastic.
Today I would like to share with you a ‘nice’ documentary which is coming to the cinemas near you while I write this. It is about fighting, bare knuckle fighting.
Here a little summary taken from the movies official site:
An epic 12-year journey into in the world of an Irish Traveller community, KNUCKLE takes us inside their brutal, secretive and exhilarating bare-knuckle fighting lives.
Chronicling a history of violent feuding between rival families, the story focuses on two brothers as they fight for their reputations and the honour of their family name.
Brutal, yet captivating and ultimately moving, this unforgettable documentary offers an exclusive insight into the world of Irish Travellers and the lengths they will go to protect their family name.
I am just at work, working. ,-) and was browsing the web for some minutes and came across this little video by Snoop Dogg which I want to share with you.
according to Hypetrak.com this is what to expect:
“Snoop Dogg unleashes the next visual off his current Doggumentary and this one’s a true meeting of legends as the Doggfather teams up with folk icon Willie Nelson for “Superman.” It sure is no coincidence that this clip arrives on 4/20. This video features on stage footage, along with the duo goofing off in the studio. The clip’s highligh is probably Snoop Dogg’s attempt to sing instead of rap. Enjoy!”
Enjoy the eastern holiday and take care!
While browsing I stumbled across a nice vid I thought is worth sharing.
It is just putting peaceful street art to a very nerdy but hence cool and funy level. But see for yourself…
it is been a while since I have posted an update of my Momotaro Copper Label project. I have some time off for now and I thought of posting an update on that matter.
Taavi, is pretty much very happy and comfy with the jeans. I can only add to his impression and i love my Copper one, too. During the year of wear, I have to admit that I cheated on the pants every now and then. Sometimes I need to wear a different pair of jeans for some days.
Another thing that is stricking my eyes on a permanent basis is that the stiching on different parts of the jeans break from time to time. This is kinda annoying to me but on the other hand a side effect of wearing. In my point of view the quality with respect to the stiching needs to be improved. I would like to know if others experience the same with respect to the stiching…
Anyways, soon the Copper label project will be replaced by the Momotaro KIKS TYO collabo and I honestly can’t wait to get my pair delivered soon and starting a new wear and tear project.
first of all I would like to give a big shout out to the NDH crew. They are always there for you no matter what. Taavi and crew are constantly striving to keep up their good service and attitude towards it. Dope man!!
Your new year post is such a lovely text to read. Thx for the credits and thx for getting to know you the last months.
I know for sure that 2011 will become a good year for NDH…
Personally I can’t wait to get the KIKS TYO x Momotaro Jeans delivered to my door. It becomes a good exercise in how to be patient, hahaha. But since time is running very fast lately, feb/mar is there soon. Additionally, I can’t wait to get to know the other participants of the fading contest.
been browsing the net for some minutes and stumbled across this nice video. The vid title ‘Graphic Violence’ really hits the essence. but see see for yourself…
