Ferrari FF at Arjeplog

by on Feb.05, 2012, under Headlines, Wheels

Have you ever seen a Ferrari drifting on snowy forest roads? Well if you haven’t now’s your chance. Ferrari teamed up with 1978 Rally World Champion Markku Alen putting the Ferrari 4WD to test at Arjeplog track in Sweden. Pretty cool video. Reminds me of the elemental testing of the new Porsche Carrera.

Bentley

by on Dec.11, 2011, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Headlines, Wheels

Few days back we posted a video of the meticulous testing process that goes into ensuring the new 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera does not leave anyone cold. Well just yesterday I came across another cool car related video. This one focusing more on the hand crafted end result that we all know as Bentley. Car of choice for the elite, those who appreciate not only the finer things in life but who prioritize on style and quality. Cool video, great car, I wish I had one. Enough said check the video.

Project 991

by on Dec.08, 2011, under Headlines, Wheels

What goes into development of a super car like the 2012 Porsche 911? The below mini documentary gives an idea of the rigorous testing in most extreme environments the cars go through before becoming available for future owners. From the freezing Arctic Circle to the hot climates of South Africa, the teams of engineers go through rounds of testing to ensure the cars are prepared for anything a driver might come across with. Impressive, most impressive as Darth Vader might put it.

GT-86 – Hachi Roku Reborn

by on Dec.03, 2011, under Headlines, Wheels

Some time back I wrote about the FT-86 concept or “ToyoBaru” as it was also called. The reborn hachi roku (AE-86 Trueno famous from Initial D) is finally seeing daylight across the globe. I am sure the car will raise mixed feelings in terms of design though I think it’s a pretty awesome looking car. It’s not just the looks but the car packs 197 horsepower engine powered by Subaru’s 2.0 liter boxer engine. Yes, a Subaru engine in Toyota car. AE-86 is a classic and as awesome as it ever was but perhaps GT-86 can step up to become the hachi roku of the 21st century. One thing is for sure, Toyota and any agency working in promotion of this ride better start watching Initial D now.

Batmobile or Wiesmann Roadster MF5 V10 Black Bat

by on Nov.16, 2011, under Headlines, Wheels

There are few cars in the world that have a status as high as the Batmobile. Ever since kids saw the classic automobile for the first time, Batmobile has been a dream car of more individuals than just myself. Batman’s choice of wheels has also served as an inspiration to many car and bike customizations out there, latest of which is the Wiesmann Roadster MF5 V10 aka the Black Bat.

Jet Engine Harley

by on Nov.11, 2011, under Headlines, Wheels

Phwoar. This year’s best, and most perfectly timed investment/present is here. Because what else says “Merry Christmas” more than a bright red totally-road-illegal-JET-ENGINE-POWERED  Harley for only 25k USD. Rhetoric question; nothing says it better. With the Harley being a vintage 1929, you never had an opportunity to get so much class for your cash.

MACHINE

by on Oct.17, 2011, under Headlines, Wheels

As most of you might have guessed it already, we sort of like custom, hand made stuff like jeans, leather goods and machines. Machines such as motorcycles and cars. There’s nothing quite as amazing as a hand made motorcycle built by an individual with a passion to creating something new, different from everything else. Tip of the hat to anyone with the skills to build something like the MACHINE you see in the video below. According to Hypebeast, “MACHINE is a collaborative effort from director Matt Harrington and motorcycle craftsman Matt Machine, that showcases the beauty of a handmade custom bike.” Impressive. Most impressive as Darth Vader might put it.

Iron Man’s New Car

by on Oct.08, 2011, under Entertainment, Headlines, Wheels

It would seem that Tony Stark aka Iron Man is switching the “Iron Man Audi” to a Honda/Acura concept car which is rumored to be a resurrection of the car maker’s NSX line. Hybrid technology mixed with VTEC V6 engine of between 3.5 to 3.7 litres is supposedly firing up this next generation “super car” from the Japanese auto maker. But more importantly, Iron Man is driving the car.

Drifting on a helipad

by on Jul.01, 2011, under Headlines, Social Media & Advertising, Wheels

Sometimes you see ads that just leave you wondering, what the hell just happened? One such ad is the one for the BMW 1 Series M Coupé in which the vehicle takes on the world’s highest helipad. Having seen Maybach doing donuts on a parking lot I thought I had seen it all, but this one tops even that. I highly recommend watching this ad because it’s pretty damn awesome. I mean a car drifting on a helipad? Who would have thought? I just wonder how was the idea’s presentation? The creatives just sitting there telling the client, “so we were thinking of having the car drifting on a helipad, the world’s tallest helipad…” and the client just approving that. Who wouldn’t?
