The campaign has since then spread across the globe with artists all over the globe expressing Adidas and its relationship to the street culture in form of graffiti pieces. There are not many things that spell street cultures quite as well as graffiti art and the way I see it, Adidas is doing one helluva job connecting the brand to its fans and getting back to the roots of Hip Hop culture altogether.

The Spring / Summer 2011 collaboration between Adidas Originals and Lucasfilm Ltd.’s Star Wars, themed “Iconic Fusion”, is a sight to behold – and just as awaited for as Christmas is. Once all that hassle with the Fat Guy in Red™ (sponsored by Coca-Cola©) is over and done with, we can start expecting for the Dark Lord Vader and his little elves in white.

So, if Vader is Santa, the Storm Troopers his elves, who then is Luke? Or Han? Chewie’s easy: he’s the bear in the woods (because surely in some nation’s Christmas lore there’s a bear – who may, or may not, crap in the woods).

Inspired by the ring ceremony and the journey for another title brands like Nike have brought out goodies like the Nike Zoom Kobe V 5 Rings sneaker which we saw Kobe wear in last night’s game.

Another “pre-season release” is the Adidas 16 x Champion Ring Ceremony track top available via nba.com and at the Staples Center. I’m pretty sure we can see a lot of fans with the particular jacket during the season and makes a nice alternative to the traditional jerseys.

The season has just started, and although the start was banging there are still many roads to cross before getting another title to LA. Miami‘s gearing up to take on the champs and I’m sure they’re gonna give many teams a run for their money. That’s all for now, Let’s Go!

While in Copenhagen, the brand had an awesome promo on the streets with a graffiti artist painting the brand’s logo with brand specific art on shipping containers in front of everyone. This was probably one of the coolest things we saw in Copenhagen and just had to share it with everyone.

Way to go Adidas this was one cool promo!

On the notion of Tron, Adidas has released a collaborative sneaker with Oryon for the Tron Legacy film. The sneaker unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con features all that glow seen in the film. Now you might think that the glow is from LEDs or 3M but a special “lamps” developed by Oryon. Just take a look yourself, you’ll see what I mean.

Just few years back I saw a young kid walking around with his flashy sneakers, you know the ones that flash lights when walking, and I thought to myself you know something like this would be kind of nice. This isn’t the first time we see such sneakers and these aren’t the only kicks glowing on the streets or shelves this year. Reebok is also releasing a version of its Omni Zone Pump with SOLEBOX from Berlin that features LEDs on the mid upper panels.

First it was the metal colored kicks, now the lights on your shoes bring us just a bit closer to the sci-fi realities from the cinematic screens. This leaves me wondering, what will we see next?
