The sinking feeling. The moment when you realize you just screwed up and now need to put your game face on in a matter of seconds to amend the situation. Familiar circumstances to anyone with sports background but most likely familiar to pretty much anyone as we all tend to screw up something every now and then. Nike visualized this feeling pretty well in their latest Air Jordan ad. Although the video is obviously about the flight, I paid more attention to the sinking feeling. Cool ad nonetheless.

The issue is featuring top 23 Air Jordan kicks of all time as well as some lovely ladies or “Sole mates” as Playboy is referring to them. Few days back Playboy released some preview pics featuring nice kicks and pin up posing in a classy Playboy manner as one might expect. Not bad at all.

These are the questions Playboy is asking in their latest venture “Sole Mates” with this popular men’s magazine “ranking the top 23 Air Jordans of all time in a feature starring Playmates Francesca Frigo, Jaime Edmondson, Jessica Burciaga, Patrice Hollis, Hiromi Oshima, Tiffany Taylor, Candice Cassidy, Kimberly Phillips and Heather Rae Young.”

The ad for the “campaign” has Miss August 2010 Francesca Frigo putting a “Playboy spin on the classic Nike commercial starring Mars Blackmon and Michael Jordan.”

Right so when you cop a pair of new Jordans, the first thing is either to put them next to the other cool sneakers on your shelf or put them on and just enjoy the feeling of new shoes. Nothing like the new shoe smell by the way. Only topped by the new car smell I suppose. But for some, they have more sinister plans for the shoes, or perhaps I should say artistic ones. Late night, Saturday night. I must be getting old because the night used to start at the midnight, but for me it’s bedtime. I’m a bit late with my writing, since I just spend the last few hours watching Seven Years in Tibet, a movie I had not watched until now and I really liked it. Good stuff.
