Bearbricks for Christmas

by on Oct.27, 2010, under Headlines, Toys, Games and Gadgets

Christmas is just around the corner, so have you started Christmas shopping already? Although for myself the holidays seem to be ages away as I have more timely things to think about, it is not stopping brands gearing up for the seasonal celebrations. The DRX-MAS figures which are currently available for pre-order include the Nutcracker and Jack Frost. I think only Santa Claus would scream X-Mas more than these two collectibles.

Kubrick Batman and Superman

by on Oct.25, 2010, under Headlines, Toys, Games and Gadgets

Batman and Superman are probably the most known superheroes of all time and along the years we have seen many toys and figures produced based on these classic characters. Medicom recently collaborated with DC Comics in celebration of DC Comics’ 75th anniversary by producing Superman and Batman Kubrick 1:6 sets with the classic heroes taking a form of Kubrick figure with removable limbs and familiar shape. The characters are inspired by the 1989 movies from both franchises. The figures are definitely collectors’ pieces and should make a great addition to any collection. Awesome.

Film news rustled up

by on Jul.17, 2010, under Entertainment, Headlines

It is time for a farewell.

It was a good run, but even all Great Things must eventually come to an end. The Old Spice Guy and his videos that led the internet community on a merry trip into the land of Awesome Viral Advertising has now come to a close. It was a glorious time. A time to be remembered and cherished. A time to reminisce when our joints are creaking and we’re called ancient rather than old. It was the magical time of the Old Spice Guy. Far better this choice too than milk it for all it’s worth.

Batman – City of Scars

by on Jun.20, 2010, under Entertainment, Headlines

Greetings earthlings!

Remember our posts on fan films. Well here’s another one, that pretty much (in my opinion) beats the ones you have seen before. I mean I love Nolan’s new Batman movies but this one something else.

Mortal Kombat and fan films in general

by on Jun.09, 2010, under Entertainment, Headlines

Hi folks,

Something good, something bad. First, the good. Lakers won the game three of the NBA Finals. Dope! Derek Fisher played a big game as did the rest of the Lakers. Not a bad game from Boston either, but Lakers was the bigger team. Two more to go and Lakers could be popping champagne in Boston. Then the bad. Either the allergy season kick-started early and kicked me in the face or I’m down with a flu. But def not “down with” the flu. Nevertheless, yours truly is not feeling all too hot right now. Yes, I know, I too am just human. Although I do like to quote Lil’ Wayne’s “we are not the same I am a Martian” lyrics quite often. But down with a flu or just battling the ah so precious allergy season, I still find time for our beloved blog and don’t worry any emails sent to my direction are answered as per usual.

Viral Sunday

by on Apr.26, 2010, under Headlines, Social Media & Advertising

Greetings!

Sunday’s pretty much the only day of the week that I dedicate to chilling and relaxation. There’s a little work you need to do, but most of the time is spent with the family, watching movies, surfing the web and reading a book (or most of the time comics). Since I’ve had a great chance to spend more time checking what’s good in the world of digital media, I thought of sharing few nice things, that can lighten up your day as well.
