Merry Christmas y’all,

The holidays are coming to an end this year and we’re getting ready for the last week of the year 2009.

I have avoided the notebook as well as my phone for most of the holidays (or at least tried to) in order to relax for a moment. During the holidays our little election came to an end on the Christmas eve and my next project is now decided. I am still putting my current 0901 project through the test of winter element and I can tell that the jeans are working real well even during the harsh winters of Finland. Actually I feel as if I would really love to continue the current project for another year and I realized that some of you felt the same way as 14% of the voters thought that I should continue the project as the jeans would most definitely become even better in time.

Four more nights till Christmas Eve. Splendid! Few more days of work followed by a long weekend full of seasonal celebrations. Christmas is a season of sharing and giving, but also like someone from my family mentioned about receiving. It’s true, as nice as it is to give presents it’s also nice to get a few surprise gifts.

Hi Y’all,

It was a mighty fine party last night. A pack of people getting together to celebrate our journey this far and more importantly getting together in celebration of the seasonal festivities. There are many types of Pre-Xmas parties or “pikkujoulu” as we call it in Finland, some good and some not so good. This one however was a night to remember and to relive next year. Plenty of mulled wine (glögg or glögi) as well as good food was consumed in good spirit and more importantly good company.

Hi Y’all,

Hope your week has started in a pleasant manner. I know mine did. I have to say, it’s been a while since I thought about Christmas and especially Christmas shopping. Well, of course I know it’s already a year since last Christmas, but it’s been years since I’ve been in Finland this time of the year and able to observe the Christmas preparations. The thing about Christmas is that a lot of people stress about the preparations, the presents and so on. I tend not to stress about these things and just go with the flow. I’ve seen my wife get all excited about this special Seasonal Holiday and it’s nice to observe how people each in their own way get ready for Xmas.
