The time has come for everyone to calm down and celebrate Christmas each in their own way. The NDH Crew will calm down and spend time with the family eating well, sleeping a bit later and just relaxing for a moment.

That said, we would like to wish all of our friends, customers, readers and associates a Merry Christmas.

iPhone 4S Santa

I’m sure each and every (mostly) happy owner of an iPhone 4S has found a new friend with Siri. My Christmas arrived early as I got my 4S few days ago already. I’m pretty impressed with Siri and she seems to understand what I’m asking as well so it’s all good. I’m not here to go into too much detail on how much I appreciate my new phone, but it is a rather useful tool. Useful enough to be used by a man who has 3.7 billion new appointments and only one night to make sure no child is left without a present. I’m talking about Santa of course. We might not have much snow in Finland right now, but Christmas is more than just snow right? Like presents… Ho ho ho…

Homecoming

Christmas is just behind the corner and what better way to celebrate than booking a short notice flight and take your family to Finland for the holidays? Yes, Kuisma-Chao & Co. will be making a trip back to the home of Nordic Denim House, Northern Denim Co. and most importantly my home. This does not mean Nordic Denim House is taking break. It’s business as usual, but I’ll probably reply emails with slight delay due to the transit time which is only 16 hours this time around.

Our bags are packed and we’re ready to go. That said, Malaysia we bid you farewell. See you next year!

More Gingerbread!

Still haven’t bought anything for your friends, family, girlfriend/boyfriend, neighbors and their kids? Do like I did to escape the horrible last-minute shopping and stress: bake your own gingerbread biscuits! Now, to avoid my Christmas-post looking like a home-cook’s advertisement, I’m telling you that I’m not a professional. Probably I don’t have to prove it, but if you read the last phrase of my previous post, you’ll certainly believe me.

This was my first time doing these biscuits from the dough to the icing all by myself. I managed to save some biscuits from greedy mouths for you readers. Below a description of my little Christmas-adventure in the kitchen.

I started with these hands…

…Tasted the icing that got its flavour and color from the berries I and my mother picked last summer in our backyard…

…And finally ended up wishing “Happy Holidays to Everyone” on a baking sheet. I actually ran out of icing a couple of times, therefore some letters look funny and the smiley is not as pink as the letters!

These fingers surely are made to be licked.

Once more, Yours Truly wants to wish you a peaceful and tasty Christmas!

I love it when all of these big name brands get their holiday spirit on and well commercialize the happy holidays. I hav to give kudos to Marvel and their Christmas approach. I mean doesn’t the picture below tell what Christmas is all about?

As if the picture wasn’t hilarious enough, you have Marvel Super Heroes: What The–?! A Very Merry Spidey-Day. Something like a take on Rudolph the red nosed reindeer but this one telling a story of Spiderman, the one who just wasn’t cool enough to join the might Avengers. Pretty funny as these clips usually are. Happy holidays!

A Christmas Story

A Christmas Story told by none other than Snoop Dogg. Of course this is but a Pepsi advertisement, but a very, very nice Pepsi ad that should probably gather much more views than the traditional Coca Cola ads you see every Christmas. Then again, we are drinking Coca Cola this Christmas. Still the ad is pretty dope.

Christmas Wishes

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the past year.

We have had a great year, met a lot of great people and made a lot of new friends. The holiday season is here again and we will take some time off to relax even if it’s only for few days. But have no fear, we will still answer your inquiries, even if it’s Christmas Day. However orders placed between 23rd and 26th of December will be shipped on Monday 27th of December.

So no matter where you are, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas!

Dunking on Reindeer

No reindeers were harmed in making of this video. But muppet forms of Kobe and LeBron with the help of Saint Nick do Dunk on some of these noble animals. The upcoming holidays sure produce some hilarious clips and this one from Nike Basketball is among the funniest ones out there right now.

Christmas is almost here and if you haven’t done so yet, it’s time to start writing to Santa. My list this year ain’t too long, but there are few things I would like. But what would you do to ensure you get what you wished for? Perhaps take one of Santa’s reindeer hostage and ask for ransom? Sounds like a plan, what wouldn’t a man do for his kicks? Thanks Foot Locker for another extremely entertaining ad.

Merry Christmas y’all,

The holidays are coming to an end this year and we’re getting ready for the last week of the year 2009.

I have avoided the notebook as well as my phone for most of the holidays (or at least tried to) in order to relax for a moment. During the holidays our little election came to an end on the Christmas eve and my next project is now decided. I am still putting my current 0901 project through the test of winter element and I can tell that the jeans are working real well even during the harsh winters of Finland. Actually I feel as if I would really love to continue the current project for another year and I realized that some of you felt the same way as 14% of the voters thought that I should continue the project as the jeans would most definitely become even better in time.

Well I will still post another 0901 update by the end of the year but now the winner of the “election”. Fanfares…

The winner is Momotaro Copper Label – G003-MB with 24% of the votes.

At first it seemed as if Lil’ Brooklyn or 0905SP would have taken the title but in the end G003-MB turned out to be the winner. These wide straight leg jeans from Momotaro Jeans are definitely among the finest jeans out there. First-class cotton is used in production of the denim and special indigo dyeing technique is used to create the jeans’ deep blue color. The color of the jeans is a bit lighter than the almost black dye of the Vintage label jeans. Another difference is that the jeans are sanforized, washed with the essence of Seto Sea Water. Thus I would imagine we will see some differences in this project as it kicks off.
