Man of Steel – Official Trailer No. 3

by on Apr.17, 2013, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Entertainment, Headlines

Another video clip that needs no long introductions. Seems that Iron Man 3 is not the only movie ensuring epic blockbuster summer. The latest trailer for the Man of Steel showcases a new type of Superman movie. An origin story with a certain darkness to it. A story of a conflicted Superman who tries to find his place in our world. I could go on and on… there are so many elements set to make this a great movie. It could very well be the Batman Begins of the Superman series. Whether you’re a fan of the franchise or just like superhero movies this one’s bound to be good.

Steer the Story

by on Apr.12, 2013, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Entertainment, Headlines, Social Media & Advertising

Audi (namely the Audi R8)has been the “chosen car brand” of Tony Stark aka the Iron Man for few movies already. Riding on the hype of the upcoming Iron Man 3, Audi has launched a co-branded campaign that gives the fans a chance to choose how the story goes. Steer the Story is latest in line of crowd sourced campaigns, that allows fans to have a say in the end-result. As a comic book fan, I approve this campaign.

The Wolverine

by on Mar.28, 2013, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Entertainment, Headlines

Switching Japanese denim to Japanese steel for a day. Watch the trailer for The Wolverine. Seems that Logan is looking for a “cure” to his immortality and an old friend might just be able to offer that. The movie looks pretty badass at least based on the trailer. Ninjas, Yakuza, (Silver) Samurai you name it…

#thewolverine 6 second movie trailer

by on Mar.26, 2013, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Entertainment, Headlines

Talk about “trailerception”… The Wolverine is definitely one of this year’s most anticipated movies and rightfully so. After all the movie is based on Frank Miller’s and Chris Claremont’s comic book(s) in which the mutant hero finds himself in Japan fighting off ninjas, the Yakuza and the Silver Samurai himself. The comics are among my favorites so I’m definitely hyped about this. The comic book community has been patiently and not so patiently waiting for the trailer for the movie and now we are only 2 days away. To tease the fans the good folks behind the movie have released a mini teaser trailer in form of Vine video you can view by clicking the image below.

Legends of the Knight – Batman

by on Feb.25, 2013, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Entertainment, Headlines

Batman, the world’s greatest detective has had a far bigger impact on people’s lives than probably even the creators of the legendary superhero could have fathomed. The character in his complexity has inspired some, brought courage into lives of those in the need of it and has become a superhero almost every little boy aspires to be. A documentary film project by Brett Culp exploring the power of heroic stories & the inspirational impact of Batman, was put up on kickstarter to gather funds for the feature film. Funds which the project collected in only 48 hours. Epic… Epic like the character himself. A man without superpowers but whose dedication and intelligence (not to mention fortune) make him “the only” man to be able to bear even Superman. As a huge fan and a father of another fan I support this project. Check out the trailer below and find out more details on the projects’ Kickstarter Page.

Inspired by

Sorry, been a bit quiet of lately. Our email has not been quiet but hectic times usually translate to more quiet blogosphere. Another reason to my recent quietness (aside from family time) is my new-found inspiration to tackle not only my PhD thesis but also write and publish work revolving around one of my oldest passions, comic books.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso – Batman edition

by on Jul.24, 2012, under Accessories & Luggage, Comics, Design and Artwork, Headlines

Being a superhero like Batman is not all fun and games. You have to put up a successful front and dress the part as well just. What better way to showcase one’s billionaire status than a Jaeger-LeCoultre (and a Lamborghini).

Interesting enough, in the Dark Knight Rises, Bruce Wayne is sporting the same JLC Reverso as he did in the movie Batman Forever, then played by Val Kilmer instead of Christian Bale. Can’t imagine it’s been 17 years already. Sigh…

In celebration of the new movie “JLC has made a limited edition Reverso Tribute To 1931 with a special engraved Bat logo on the caseback. Filled with black lacquer and visible only when the case is “flipped,” this watch pays tribute to the original Reverso worn by Kilmer.” (Hodinkee) No word on whether or not the watch will become available for purchase. Needless to say I like this watch.
