Adidas Originals – Then, Now and Forever
by Taavi Kuisma on Feb.25, 2011, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Fashion and style, Headlines
Some of you might remember our post from Copenhagen Fashion Week, back in August in which we shared a picture of pretty cool Adidas graffiti art from the streets of Copenhagen. Adidas is an innovator and tied into the street cultures ever since (or before) Run DMC sun My Adidas. Their Current Then, Now and Forever campaign does not leave anyone cold and little did we know that the piece we photographed back in CPH was actually part of this campaign.
Copper G003-MB – Week XXX & XXXI
by Taavi Kuisma on Aug.22, 2010, under Fashion and style, Headlines
I thought of combining the past two weeks of my Momotaro Jeans Copper Label journey into one big post full of pics from the past weeks, mostly from Copenhagen since after we came back to Finland I have not had a chance to take any proper pics of the jeans. Also I think the best pics were taken last week. Real life pics that really show the jeans in their current state in action also compared to other wear and tear projects and new jeans. It’s also a nice little summary of our trip to the awesome city of Copenhagen. So I guess it’s best to start from the beginning.
Japan Blue
by Taavi Kuisma on Aug.21, 2010, under Fashion and style, Headlines
Ever since I was told about Japan Blue brand by my friends at Momotaro Jeans I was curious to get more details and see the apparel in person. My chance came at the Gallery CPH where we represented both brand introducing the Japan Blue to the audience in Copenhagen. The brand was premiered in Bread and Butter and I wrote a little something about it already back then. That was just the tip of the iceberg I might say and after spending almost 4 days around these garments and talking to the brands reps about the concept and it’s qualities I feel I can write a little review about the brand. Real talk, no favoritism no glitz no glamour.
Japan Blue Adventure Boots

As mentioned Japan Blue is an experimental brand that wants to come up with new concepts and produce products that can be universally appreciated and adopted into folks’ everyday life. One of the most interesting things I have seen from the brand has been the Hand Dyed Indigo Adventure Boots or Adventure Blue Boots as they are also referred to.

Danish Design – Mismo
by Taavi Kuisma on Aug.18, 2010, under Accessories & Luggage, Headlines
While in Copenhagen we had a chance to spend Sunday just walking around and getting to know the Copenhagen we had not seen just yet. You know back in February I had no chance visit anything except the airport and the exhibition area. Few restaurants in addition to this, but that’s about it. This time we reserved Sunday for some of your basic tourism stuff. I will get back to this topic with another edition but this one is dedicated to Danish design in particular a brand named Mismo.
Adidas – Street Art
by Taavi Kuisma on Aug.17, 2010, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Headlines, Kicks
Adidas is one of the brands that has kept its street credibility throughout the years. I mean even if you go back 20 years, the Run DMC was already rapping about My Adidas. The brand has retained the originality and been an integral part of the street-wear culture. No matter whether it’s Hip Hop or sports Adidas is there. Even I’m wearing a pair almost on daily basis.
Water repellent Japan Blue

We’re back to Helsinki! Our Copenhagen trip was really awesome but it’s also good to be back. The amount of work waiting for you is always surprising especially since I was working all the time while in CPH. Although my focus was on Momotaro Jeans we also learned a lot about the new brand from Collect Co called Japan Blue.
Gallery CPH – Day III
by Taavi Kuisma on Aug.14, 2010, under Fashion and style, Headlines, News & Events
Day three of the Gallery International Fashion Fair is over! We have packed out bags and boxes leaving our beloved stand empty as it was before we came to Copenhagen. You always get that funny feeling when you’re packing away all the cool stuff you were surrounded with over the past few days.
Gallery CPH – Day II
by Taavi Kuisma on Aug.14, 2010, under Fashion and style, Headlines, News & Events
The day two of the Gallery CPH started off nicely with a pretty damn good breakfast as always. Last night was a late night with plenty of work to do after the Fair. We actually had a chance to go and watch The Expendables, but were too tired and busy for such luxuries. However once you got to the venue it was all business once again. We met some familiar faces in the morning and got a nice kickstart for the day. This however did not last too long.
