Vote for Project Wear and Tear winner
by Taavi Kuisma on Feb.04, 2012, under Fashion and style, Headlines, News & Events
Time flies, Project Wear and Tear kicked off over a year ago and based on the comments and feedback, it has been a fun project that has produced some really, really impressive results. That alone is enough to make this project a success. The major following throughout the project is just an icing on the cake. The project has progressed to the last stretch and we’re letting you, our audience decide the winner. Although I feel everyone participating in the project is a winner, we’re still sticking to the original plan and crowning the winner in one month’s time. Thus steer towards the Project Wear and Tear site and vote for your favorite from the top three. You can vote using the poll on the top right corner of the site. Right below search and above our support logos.
Project Wear and Tear – Weeks XI & XII
by Taavi Kuisma on May.02, 2011, under Fashion and style, Headlines, News & Events
Another two weeks, more jeans, more wear and more tear. On my own accord, the past two weeks have been mainly documented in iPhone format, mainly as I have been buzzing around with no hope of catching a break or digging up a proper camera. But even though I have been flying around I still find some time for the fam’lay, especially Maxwell.
Copper G003-MB – The retirement
by Taavi Kuisma on Feb.27, 2011, under Fashion and style, Headlines
It has been very eventful 14 months. Business aside, we’ve witnessed birth of new generations and bid farewell to older generations. By no means has it been an easy year. Challenges ranging from business to parental duties and renovations, but still I say the year of the golden tiger treated us well. The business picked up and pretty much doubled from the first year. We’ve received plenty of love from both individual and business customers not to mention our partners and associates. It has been one interesting chapter in this crazy journey and through it all I have worn the same pants.
Copper G003-MB – Week LVI – On top of the world
by Taavi Kuisma on Feb.13, 2011, under Fashion and style, Headlines
You should always quit while you’re winning. This applies not only to gambling but also life in general. This time, this also applies to my beloved Copper Label Momotaro Jeans that have accompanies me for over a year already. At 56 weeks (approx 1 year and 2 months) the jeans have traveled across the world, kept me warm during the winter and made sure I look the part whether I have been in meetings or spending a night out with some friends. The jeans have seen numerous cities in Finland as well as Copenhagen, Munich, Abu Dhabi, Kuala Lumpur, Genting and now they are retiring at my wife’s home in Tanjung Malim, Malaysia. I call the post “On top of the world” and although the highlands of Malaysia are not even close to the highest point on earth, I thought the title would be fitting.
Copper G003-MB – Week LV – Chinese New Year
by Taavi Kuisma on Feb.07, 2011, under Fashion and style, Headlines, Travel, Food & Drinks
This past week revolved pretty much around the Chinese New Year, it’s preparations and the festivities. Needless to say there was plenty to do and arranging the daily activities with all the preparations as well as launch of the Project Wear and Tear, not to mention our blog’s redesign. It was one helluva week. Just the other day I was asking my brother if he has busy day at school forgetting that it was already Saturday. But Project Wear and Tear has kicked off nicely and it’s very exciting to see people from all over the world participating in the project with such an enthusiasm. Big Like.
Copper G003-MB – Week LIV
by Taavi Kuisma on Jan.30, 2011, under Fashion and style, Headlines
Living it up, or not, we’re still in Malaysia. Last week must have been the lousiest with regards to denim development and pretty much the most difficult week I have had in a while since, I spent the last 7 days sick. Common cold can catch you by surprise no matter where you are and it certainly swept the carpet from under my feet leaving me coughing and sneezing all week long. I tried everything from Chinese herbs to modern medicine, plenty of water, green tea etc. but in the end all I needed was some rest and time. Getting rest is easier said than done and I have already with so many projects lining up. And I’m not just talking about denim projects. But what about the jeans? Well, they spent most of the week in my good ol’ duffel bag just waiting for an opportunity to be worn, maybe even torn.
Copper G003-MB – Week LIII
by Taavi Kuisma on Jan.24, 2011, under Fashion and style, Headlines
What a week. THe sad part is that I have actually spent most of this week sick. I needed to come all the way to Malaysia to catch the common cold. Still I have tried to keep up with everything and update the blog as regularly as possible. It’s not easy though as at times I just feel like laying in bed and falling asleep. I guess it’s the extreme change in weather/climate that caused my body to go haywire and get me in a flush frenzy. Well I’m getting better already. Sick or not, I have been pushing the Copper Label Momotaro Jeans project forward.
Patchwork part II
by Taavi Kuisma on Jan.21, 2011, under Fashion and style, Headlines
Although this is not an official Copper Label Project Update, I could not help but to share the latest piece of patchwork I did on the jeans. For the past few weeks I have observed part of the jeans’ stitching unraveling in somewhat critical spot. As the G003-MB Copper Label Momotaro Jeans are the only jeans I have in Malaysia, or the only long pants for that matter, I really need to make these babies last until I get my new project next month. So although the trusted Singer sewing machine is in Finland, I will not lay idle as I have what I would like to call a backup plan. A sewing kit.
Copper Project, almost one year
by Tim on Jan.18, 2011, under Entertainment, Fashion and style, Headlines
Dear Readers,
it is been a while since I have posted an update of my Momotaro Copper Label project. I have some time off for now and I thought of posting an update on that matter.
Taavi, is pretty much very happy and comfy with the jeans. I can only add to his impression and i love my Copper one, too. During the year of wear, I have to admit that I cheated on the pants every now and then. Sometimes I need to wear a different pair of jeans for some days.
Another thing that is stricking my eyes on a permanent basis is that the stiching on different parts of the jeans break from time to time. This is kinda annoying to me but on the other hand a side effect of wearing. In my point of view the quality with respect to the stiching needs to be improved. I would like to know if others experience the same with respect to the stiching…
Anyways, soon the Copper label project will be replaced by the Momotaro KIKS TYO collabo and I honestly can’t wait to get my pair delivered soon and starting a new wear and tear project.
Copper G003-MB – Week LII

What a week has it been. We’ve traveled from form one continent to another, battled a 27 hour trip to get to Malaysia and gotten here safe and sound. Life’s good, that’s all I can say. I hope you had chance to check the post about our trip here. Although we have been here for only 4 days, it feels as if we never even left Malaysia. Let’s just say we’ve had a warm reception.
