Copper G003-MB – Week LIII

by on Jan.24, 2011, under Fashion and style, Headlines

What a week. THe sad part is that I have actually spent most of this week sick. I needed to come all the way to Malaysia to catch the common cold. Still I have tried to keep up with everything and update the blog as regularly as possible. It’s not easy though as at times I just feel like laying in bed and falling asleep. I guess it’s the extreme change in weather/climate that caused my body to go haywire and get me in a flush frenzy. Well I’m getting better already. Sick or not, I have been pushing the Copper Label Momotaro Jeans project forward.

Patchwork part II

by on Jan.21, 2011, under Fashion and style, Headlines

Although this is not an official Copper Label Project Update, I could not help but to share the latest piece of patchwork I did on the jeans. For the past few weeks I have observed part of the jeans’ stitching unraveling in somewhat critical spot. As the G003-MB Copper Label Momotaro Jeans are the only jeans I have in Malaysia, or the only long pants for that matter, I really need to make these babies last until I get my new project next month. So although the trusted Singer sewing machine is in Finland, I will not lay idle as I have what I would like to call a backup plan. A sewing kit.

Copper Project, almost one year

by on Jan.18, 2011, under Entertainment, Fashion and style, Headlines

Dear Readers,

it is been a while since I have posted an update of my Momotaro Copper Label project. I have some time off for now and I thought of posting an update on that matter.
Taavi, is pretty much very happy and comfy with the jeans. I can only add to his impression and i love my Copper one, too. During the year of wear, I have to admit that I cheated on the pants every now and then. Sometimes I need to wear a different pair of jeans for some days.
Another thing that is stricking my eyes on a permanent basis is that the stiching on different parts of the jeans break from time to time. This is kinda annoying to me but on the other hand a side effect of wearing. In my point of view the quality with respect to the stiching needs to be improved. I would like to know if others experience the same with respect to the stiching…
Anyways, soon the Copper label project will be replaced by the Momotaro KIKS TYO collabo and I honestly can’t wait to get my pair delivered soon and starting a new wear and tear project.

Copper G003-MB – Week LII

by on Jan.17, 2011, under Fashion and style, Headlines

What a week has it been. We’ve traveled from form one continent to another, battled a 27 hour trip to get to Malaysia and gotten here safe and sound. Life’s good, that’s all I can say. I hope you had chance to check the post about our trip here. Although we have been here for only 4 days, it feels as if we never even left Malaysia. Let’s just say we’ve had a warm reception.

Copper G003-MB – Week L & LI

by on Jan.09, 2011, under Fashion and style, Headlines

The last two weeks have swooshed by faster than a hurricane. It has been emotionally tough couple of weeks with loss in a family, preparation for the new year and closing up one year behind us. Still we and I are maintaining. It’s all good. The weather in Finland has turned from very cold to soggy and the jeans have gotten their share of grime after this. I have nonetheless kept them pretty clean following a wash almost two weeks back.

Copper G003-MB – Weeks XLVIII – XLIX

by on Dec.23, 2010, under Fashion and style, Headlines

Last two weeks have been memorable in so many ways. First off the important stuff like seeing your son lift his head up and actually holding it up while playing, spending quality time at home (still working but working from home) and witnessing most snow, Helsinki has had since 1915. That should be enough for a blog post already but what I have here might just be the most exciting project update this far. Or at least among the most exciting ones.

Copper G003-MB – Week XLVII – Winter Wonderland

by on Dec.12, 2010, under Fashion and style, Headlines

We’re living in a winter wonderland and Helsinki is looking as white as it did a year ago. The winter is here to stay and it seems that the public transportation, logistics as well as majority of people are a mess. It never seizes to surprise me how much effect the winter seems to have on pretty much everything when it finally hits us. Still, winter does come every year so I guess ignorance is bliss.

Copper G003-MB – Weeks XLV-XLVI

by on Dec.05, 2010, under Fashion and style, Headlines

Another two weeks have passed and the jeans continue to evolve. The winter always somehow accelerates the process and I’m seeing more and more changes on the surface of the denim. I think it’s best to show the jeans as they are right now for starters and go into latest changes from there on.

Copper Label Weeks XLIII-XLIV

by on Nov.23, 2010, under Fashion and style, Headlines

Another two weeks have passed. Not sure what makes the time run by faster than the road runner but it just does. Lately I have spent more and more quality time with the family. As I’m enjoying my parental leave I’ve met familiar faces, been back to my hometown and visited local small town coffee shops I used to go as a kid. I love the fact that some things just don’t change. The same service the same atmosphere and the same quality bread and pastries.

Copper G003-MB – Week XLI and XLII

by on Nov.08, 2010, under Fashion and style, Headlines

Two weeks of denim wear and tear has just gone by with every minute feeling more like a second. To be honest I have mainly stayed at home lately with my wife and son. Like I said many times, the jeans are a part of a journey and a week ago these jeans experienced the most amazing thing in my life, the birth of my baby boy Maxwell. Needless to say I’m starting a new chapter in my life and that chapter is pretty much focused on keeping it real with my boy.
