I remember back in the day I used to have my matchbox cars which I raced on the kitchen table, floor or cruised around this mat that had printed roads on it, you know jsut to have your own little city. Combine this with some LEGOs and damn, it was on like Donkey Kong. Back then Nintendo was a big deal, where as today’s youth is fully versed with digital goods and gadgets with many kids learning their A, B, Cs through an iPad. So what’s next for kids? Introducing Disney Cars 2 AppMates. Toy cars meet iPad.

Mickey Mouse, Disney’s beloved cartoon character made famous by his antics in Steamboat Willie is the latest character to be dissected and sculpted by Jason Freeny. Whose work we have written about few times already. Last time with the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from the Ghostbusters. I have been following the developments of the project via Jason’s Facebook page and I have to say, the final product is awesome, just take a look yourself.
Kaws Pinocchio & Jiminy Cricket

It’s not long ago that we were given a first look of the Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket toys courtesy of Kaws, the American artist whose series of figures have reached a massive popularity across the globe. The toys were first shown as exhibition items without any word on a release date, but as this Medicom x Disney x Kaws collaboration caught the eyes of collectors it was obvious that it would be released public as well. The wait is now over for those looking forward to getting this limited edition dynamic duo.
