Another epic battle is brewing between two opposing forces. A battle like no other. Only weapons, brute strength and the oval pigskin. Superbowl is one of the biggest avenues not just in terms of sports but also advertising. Volkswagen made an impact with their ad last year and they seem to carry the Epic Battle theme to this year as well. I mean just have a look at their teaser. Canine chorus anyone?
Let’s see what they have in store for the Game Day.

Football Cops

Every now and then some creative agencies come up with such a ludicrous idea that someone will definitely produce it for the entire world to share. One of such ideas is DIRECTV’s Football Cops. I mean what they portray as a trailer for an upcoming action drama featuring Eli and Peyton Manning as a crime fighting cops who use most unconventional ways to catch the bad guys. I find it rather hilarious that a viral video of a 12-year old with impressive American Football trick shot skills has gotten folks all defensive. I mean people just hate to see people being good at something, especially kids. It could be that the tricks on the below video are just an elaborate scheme, but even if the video is a sum of repeated routines it does not erase the fact that this kid has skills when it comes to football. Don’t forget he’s only 12 years old.

What’s good folks?
Last night’s match sure wasn’t. It was like Germany was under a spell. This got me thinking, could it be that Paul the almighty Octopus had a psychic control over the German team. Is it that his powers are like those of a Jedi? Just a little background on Paul, “Paul the octopus, who lives at the Sea Life Aquarium in western Germany, makes his prediction by picking food from containers marked with the flags of the two teams.Paul’s only inaccurate pick so far was when it picked Germany over Spain at the Euro in 2008. Spain won 1-0 in that tournament, but he has never been wrong since and has an overall record of 9-1.” (Reuters)
