LEGO – The Avengers
by Taavi Kuisma on Mar.30, 2012, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Headlines, Toys, Games and Gadgets
These type of pictures have had the same impact on me ever since I was a kid. As excited I am about the upcoming The Avengers film (April 27th, it’s so close!) I’m also quite excited about the upcoming LEGO series based on the film. I mean just look at this picture and tell me you’re not excited about this? Awesomeness in LEGO format.
Avengers toys from LEGO
by Taavi Kuisma on Feb.13, 2012, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Headlines, Toys, Games and Gadgets
Definitely the coolest thing I’ve seen today. As if the anticipation for the Avengers movie was not enough. LEGO is bringing us the Avengers line of toys in conjunction with the upcoming blockbuster. Being a huge fan of both Marvel and LEGO, I honestly can’t wait for the launch. Maxwell is almost old enough to play with LEGO anyways. Umm, emphasis on the word almost. Perhaps I could buy some of these toys for “safekeeping.” You can check out more details and pictures at Marvel‘s site.
Avengers

Just had one of those, oh my god, oh my god moments when I realized the trailer for the upcoming Avengers movie hit the web. The trailer looks even better than the sneak preview at the end of Captain America (I know you all knew of the clip already). Seriously summer 2012 is starting to look even better than 2011 when it comes to comic book mega blockbusters. If you don’t believe me, just watch the trailer yourself. I promise you’ll feel like a kid again. Oh my god, oh my god…

Hulking Vegemite
by Taavi Kuisma on Mar.28, 2011, under Headlines, Travel, Food & Drinks
Today’s breakfast was different from the ones before this. Today I had a chance to taste an Australian “national dish” vegemite. I’m sure most of those who have visited the Aussie Land know this brown gooey stuff and let me just say it’s an acquired taste indeed. Actually I kind of liked it. For me it tasted like very salty cheese. Not sure if that’s the intention but I had vegemite breakfast with a cup of coffee on the side. So what’s so good about vegetate? Apparently it’s a; rich source of Vitamin B, rich source of folate and contains no artificial colors or flavors. Just a pack of vegemite madness packed in a tube.
HulkBoy

By now most of the readers have been introduced to our little champion Maxwell, whom has gotten a nickname Lil’ Hulk due to his HULKing size and muscular look. For those not familiar with Lil’ Hulk, be low a picture to show you what I mean.
NBA x Marvel All-Stars
by Taavi Kuisma on Feb.08, 2011, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Fashion and style, Headlines, Sports
While back NBA and Marvel joined forces for some pretty epic NBA styled Marvel cover art. Now these two names have joined forces again for some exclusive Marvel styled NBA apparel. Now in most cases these types of shirts would not look too cool. But don’t let the idea fool you. The shirts and caps produced for this collaboration are pretty damn cool.
Marvel meets the NBA
by Taavi Kuisma on Oct.30, 2010, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Headlines, Sports
We saw the new Tron variants by Marvel. Artwork that had many comic book purists cringing their teeth in agony. Although some of the titles were on point and pretty damn cool the whole buzz about the titles was more focused on a fear of Disney influence on Marvel. Disney did indeed acquire ownership on this comic book giant and although an idea of Donald Duck meeting Spider-Man even gets me cringing my teeth, I don’t really think this is going to hurt Marvel. Moreover I recently came across a good reason why this new partnership might actually work. You see, Disney also owns ESPN, the beloved sports central. So what’s the catch? How about NBA meeting Marvel in with original Marvel artwork on every team in the NBA?
