For the upcoming KIKS TYO SS2011 season, KIKS TYO have taken inspiration for a new collaboration with Kana Tsugihara from a classic 1988 Hip Hop album Power by Ice-T. The album cover featured Ice-T’s then spouse Darlene in a white bathing suit with a shotgun. This “weapons” collaboration does not include Ice-T nor Darlene but the lovely gravure model Kana Tsugihara in a white bikini, with a shotgun and a pair of fresh kicks.

Just got an awesome package from the postal office courtesy of KIKS TYO. I know I posted pics of the upcoming tees already some time back, but I’m telling you. Getting the tees for real is a whole different thing. Especially the sneaker-box chair tee featuring Kana Tsugihara is awesome on another level. It will be only few days until we get a set of the FLOM (For Love Or Money) tees also featuring the lovely Ms. Tsugihara. If you have not seen these tees in real before, it might be hard to imagine the difference in quality in comparison to many other printed tees.

So it’s not long ago that we announced that we’re getting some hot new tees from KIKS TYO, just to mention FLOM featuring Kana Tsugihara. FLOM will be available as early as late October/early November but we’re also getting another feature with Kana Tsugihara. I would almost argue that Kana is the “centerfold” girl for KIKS’ AW2010 with quite a few new releases. One that really caught my attention was the Box Chair tee which will be available shortly.

What’s good?

By right it should be all good. The sun is shining and the weather is clear. But hot damn, there is so much to do and so little time. Although some days I just seem to be sporting that “Demon in a Bottle expression” 13 hours per day (pity my wife) nothing cheers you up better than a fresh catalog full of fresh tees and gear. This time I got the joyous email from KIKS TYO regarding  their AW2010 lineup.

Midsummer’s done for the year and we’re back in action at full force. Moving ahead at full steam, we’ve already got our minds at the Autumn and Fall of 2010. Thinking about where we’re heading and what are we going to do? Who are we going to work with and at what degree. I am not going to give out too much at this point but there are plenty of positive challenges ahead of us.
