In the below video, the minds behind the shoe tell the story of the Nike Mag 2011 as it should be told. Although the idea was damn cool, I bet even the team could not have imagined how popular the shoe will actually become.

Quite a cute package if you ask me. Not the most necessary baby accessory, but makes a nice memory to save for the future. I mean the reality is that the baby can fit the socks for only few weeks/months before you need bigger socks. At least that was the case with Maxwell. Cool colorway and Slam Dunk inspired graphics and messages such as “Draw Your Destiny” and “Listen To Your Inner Self” (Freshness). I guess for many this will be a collector’s piece, but the shoe looks solid enough for pick up game or two on real basketball courts as well.

Another cool sneaker release from Nike is the Air Force 1 Low Premium Denim.

Being a denim head I tend to spot the denim sneakers. Sometimes the releases are not even share-worthy but some stand out in the crowd in a positive way. This particular sneaker is not half bad, looks pretty cool actually. The metallic bronze piping and contrasting dark blue denim look pretty good together. I wonder how these kicks fade though? Should be interesting. Although some might think it’s a fashion faux to wear these with a pair of jeans, I say they go well together. Another great thing about these kicks is that you don’t really have to worry about denim bleeding now do you?

Where as I doubt the functionality of the piece, it does stand out as a pretty artistic creation showing appreciation to the sneaker culture at the same time (I think). Not a bad colorway for the piece either. I see the love for the LA Lakers there. Not sure what inspired the artist, but perhaps more info on this will surface sooner or later.

Aside from this cool finding, this particular pair of kicks sure caught my attention. Nike Air Max Uptempo 97. Favorite of the likes of Scottie Pippen, the shoe became an instant classic already back in 1997 upon its original launch. The details of the shoe certainly differentiate the shoe with its signature tear drops and air bubbles. Awesome shoe for real. Happy to see this particular design being resurrected along with other 90s’ designs. Let’s see what else Nike has in store for us this year.

The dudes were like Redman and Method Man of their time. Anyway, the characters have also inspired Nike’s creative minds in production of a Nike SB Dunk High (fitting) Cheech & Chong.

The white shoe features bandana motif, red swoosh and a hidden pocket in the tongue, you know for the extra change. Not a bad shoe might I say. I like it, I mean it’s a clean shoe with a twist to it. You can go wrong with bandana prints, but this one works. It’s a cool sneaker even if you’re not a fan of the films.
