It’s a hectic weekend at Casa di Kuisma. I’m packed with research work for my PhD but the few minutes I spent off the journals and writing, I came across some new heat from our good friends at KIKS TYO. The guys just released the latest KIKS Girl designs featuring Yuki Mamiya, Mai Nishida and Fumina Suzuki. The originators of the sneaker & girl designs are definitely not leaving anyone cold this spring. No matter how cold it might be out there (krhm Finland).

Sneakers and girls is a combination that never grows old. KIKS TYO have mastered this combo from the start to the point of having other parties copy the concept in their branding. 2012 is no different from the past years in terms of hot collaborations. We’ve been very focused on our denim game with the introduction of Northern Denim Co., work with Railcar Fine Goods and Strike Gold. So much so that we have not put the same emphasis on our T-shirts. Last 6 months have been crazy and mostly in a good way, but it’s about time we stepped our T-shirt game up. We’ve got a batch of crazy new KIKS TYO tees. Our friends at KIKS TYO have put together a little video teasing us of what’s to come from the brand in the Spring and Summer 2012 season. New Sneaker & Girl tees are not the only thing coming up, the good folks at KIKS TYO have also put together a KIKS GIRL DVD which will be available through KIKS TYO next spring (2012). The photography is by KIKS TYO’s founder HOBBY:TECH and just to add to the teasers, the style is slightly different from the last few seasons from KIKS TYO. For now we have a little teaser video and plenty more to come. All I can say is that the S&S 2012 collection is looking hot.

While back we posted some sneak peeks of the latest KIKS TYO tees to hit our shelves. Summer is T-shirt time without a doubt. For some regions (like Finland) it’s pretty much these few months when you can go out in your tees without covering the shirt with at least one layer of clothing. When it comes to KIKS TYO tees, these shirt were made to turn heads and as a friend of mine put it, the shirts turn heads like a chiropractic. So make sure you turn heads this season and cop a fresh tee for your wearing pleasure.
