Nice one Mario. Last week Ika was also getting ready for her trip not sure of her schedule but I believe we should be able to see pics from her trip maybe as early as this or next week. The Naked & Famous x Momotaro Jeans are looking pretty damn nice by the way.

I have spent the last few weeks with my ass pretty much glued on my desk (chair). Work and business aside I have a Doctorate thesis to write and past work to publish so I have lived pretty much academic life these past few days. I did however end up traveling to Cherating, Club Med resort in good company. A very relaxing trip. Clear water, white sand and a basketball court. What else could you possibly ask for?

I have a feeling Tuomas’ G003-MB Copper Label Jeans are developing at a pace faster than mine was. I wore this design for over a year and it seems that his jeans have really gotten a rapid start these past few months. It will be interesting to see the jeans and compare the results after a year or so.

Rob’s 0901 is developing at an equally rapid pace. Even though the jeans use the darkest pure indigo dye around, they still seem to be fading fast. The jeans truly reflect one’s lifestyle and wearing preferences. All jeans on the project are put through plenty of wear and tear and it’s awesome to see the evolution of so many different jeans, especially ones similar to the jeans you have worn in the past.

It could just be that hip hop concerts have a positive effect to the jeans’ evolution.

One of the trips was to Singapore, a hectic day but still had time for few snaps of the ever buzzing city, even if the pics were from the taxi’s window.

Another trip’s update will follow (hopefully) tomorrow. I am currently extremely tied with business, work, and my PhD research, especially the latter part. This will most likely cut down some of my blogging activity for a week or so but will do my best to divide my time accordingly.

Tuomas’ updates these past weeks started from the attic. A picture of the jeans in a new environment. Can’t hate on the jeans’ development cycle. Fast is a proper word to describe the evolution of these jawns.

Tuomas other update finally showed the fit of the jeans after a good while. Can’t remember when was the last time this dude posted fit pics. Not that long ago I know, but still.

Tim posted more pics of his jeans, showing details of his KIKS TYO x Momotaro Jeans collaboration jeans. I have to say the progress of these jeans seems to be somehow faster than my own pair. Although Tim has few days’ head start the difference is not that huge. So good going Tim, keep wearing them jeans.

That’s where we are at right now. The holidays and busy schedules are limiting time spent on the project updates but it’s all good, I’m sure this week we’ll get to witness more Wear and maybe even Tear so stay tuned for more. Peace…

The design in the video has been a hot item and topic of conversation in the past few weeks. In the latest collaboration tee Mai Nishida is featured “with a pair of Damien Hirst x Converse (PRODUCT) RED Chuck Taylor Hi’s. The butterfly motif is inspired by the shoes, which feature Hirst’s 2007 “All You Need Is Love” print, which sold at the Sotheby’s (RED)™ auction in 2008 for $2,420,000.00 in support of The Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa.” (KIKS TYO)

Even though she now has another pair of jeans to wear (and tear), her N&F x Momotaro Jeans are progressing pretty nicely as well.

Tuomas has not been sparing his Copper Label G003-MB Momotaro Jeans and that’s starting to show. After 10 weeks of wear and tear, the jeans look pretty damn good. I have a feeling these jeans might develop even better than my Copper Label project did, but I guess we’ll only see that in 10 months or so.

Rob’s 0901 Vintage Label is not far behind these jeans when it comes to signs of wear. The jeans are fading fast and at 8 weeks in, they have a same look my own 0901 only had after months of consecutive wear. But it’s been only 10 weeks, so I would imagine all of the jeans, although already awesome will look tad bit better 10 months from here.

This week I wanted to focus on the Japan Lines with my own project. I have kind of ignored the lines’ development this far as the focus has been on the creasing and fading in general. So this one has now been fixed and I should be posting the line updates more often. It was cool to compare the lines at their present appearance to the look they had just seven weeks back. So here you go, the lines after 8 weeks of wear.

This has been a tough week for yours truly and now if ever a 4 day weekend would have done wonders, but we’re close to a fresh new week with fresh new challenges. That said, I can’t wait to see what the participants have in store this week around. My latest post should be live as early as tomorrow. Stay fresh everyone. I’m out, peace!
