Ten weeks in and the project is progressing at a good pace. This week was definitely more quiet than the previous ones, but that’s OK. People are busy and there usually is life outside of denim. Following the release of their KIKS JP – Hope tee, KIKS TYO continues their line-up for the summer with Japan Spirits series of T-Shirts that features classic Japanese artwork. I really like the idea of mixing the KIKS TYO motif with prints that represent the history and culture of Japan. The situation in Japan is still just to say awful. It’s been inspirational to see so many brands, artists and parties of all sorts take action and raise money for charity. We are working on our own project to help those in the need but more of that later. Our friends from KIKS TYO are also doing their part in helping amend the situation there and released a special KIKS JP shirt to help raise funds for charity. Time flies and we’re just trying to learn how to fly along the way. Needless to say the project proceeds at a rapid pace as well. Last week, Timmy from Belgium entered the project and wrote his introduction. Timmy’s a resident of Wilrijk (Belgium) since August and a denim addict since forever. In addition to denim he is also into leather products, workwear and military inspired stuff. Timmy is participating with a pair of 1005SP Going to Battle Label Momotaro Jeans.

The project has reached four weeks. Time has really flown and I can’t believe it’s been already four weeks that the participants have been wearing and tearing their jeans. I can’t believe it’s been three weeks already. Time flies while you’re having fun, and from what I have seen everyone seems to be having fun with their Denim Projects. So much fun that Ika actually share some curry with her jeans. Take notes, curry isn’t the easiest thing to clean from the surface of denim. The year of the Rabbit is well underway and the year has at least started relatively prosperously. Not just on business front but I would rather say on all fronts. Life’s good and only going to get better.
