This afternoon we received a parcel we have been long waiting for. KIKS TYO x MOMOTARO JEANS delivery straight from Tokyo, Japan. The coveted jeans made their way pretty fast to our hands although the local postal services tried to slow things down. More of this on Project Wear and Tear later today. It has not been too long since last time we drubbed the bomb on KIKS TYO’s upcoming sneaker & girl releases. Well now that the SS2011 season is officially under way it’s just that these bombs are drubbed more frequently. It goes without saying that two of the most popular sneaker girls of the recent past have been Aya Kiguchi and Kana Tsugihara. So it’s just fitting that these two ladies get the first releases (and pretty much rule the entire season).

It’s New Year’s Eve, although I still have tons to do before I can pop a bottle of champagne and celebrate the changing year with the family. The last jeans batch of the year has been shipped out but it’s also nice to receive parcels considering how many we shipe out every week. The year ended with a parcel from Naked & Famous of which the re-stock of Momotaro Jeans collaboration were shipped out already today. If you still want to get these jeans I recommend contacting us and we can check the stock situation in Canada. It could very well be that we can order the jeans for you. The next big collaboration is just months ahead as we’re expecting the KIKS TYO x Momotaro Jeans collaboration to land in Nordic Denim House in February/March.

Although Christmas is not even here yet, the guys at KIKS TYO are already creating buzz around the Valentine’s Day. If you thought the upcoming “Weapons” tee was hot, just wait until you see what’s the Valentine’s Day tee like. Since I’m in a good mood, I don’t feel like keeping you waiting any longer but just show what’s up. The Valentine’s Day girl for this season is the lovely Aya Kiguchi.

For the upcoming KIKS TYO SS2011 season, KIKS TYO have taken inspiration for a new collaboration with Kana Tsugihara from a classic 1988 Hip Hop album Power by Ice-T. The album cover featured Ice-T’s then spouse Darlene in a white bathing suit with a shotgun. This “weapons” collaboration does not include Ice-T nor Darlene but the lovely gravure model Kana Tsugihara in a white bikini, with a shotgun and a pair of fresh kicks.
