I did not make a trip to the heart of Kuala Lumpur and come back empty handed. Although the day itself was awesome enough I did bring along an orange box with a pair of sneakers inside.

YYYYEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHH. That’s what they start CSI episodes with. The song’s Who Are You by The Who, btw.
Funny rhyme there.
Anyway, that was my reaction to this spectacular Call of Duty: Black Ops commercial.
Marvel meets the NBA
by Taavi Kuisma on Oct.30, 2010, under Comics, Design and Artwork, Headlines, Sports
We saw the new Tron variants by Marvel. Artwork that had many comic book purists cringing their teeth in agony. Although some of the titles were on point and pretty damn cool the whole buzz about the titles was more focused on a fear of Disney influence on Marvel. Disney did indeed acquire ownership on this comic book giant and although an idea of Donald Duck meeting Spider-Man even gets me cringing my teeth, I don’t really think this is going to hurt Marvel. Moreover I recently came across a good reason why this new partnership might actually work. You see, Disney also owns ESPN, the beloved sports central. So what’s the catch? How about NBA meeting Marvel in with original Marvel artwork on every team in the NBA?
Nike Kobe Black Mamba Humidor

I can’t help but to express my enthusiasm with my latest discovery. I posted pics of the Nike Zoom Kobe V 5 Rings Ring Ceremony Kicks few days ago and now images of an all exclusive package inclusive of these shoes have surfaced. Although some are vary of gimmicks when it comes to branding or products in general, I humbly believe that a nice package highlights the exclusive features of a product. This is obvious of The Year Of… cans and Red Monkey Jeans wooden box, just to name few examples. So how about a fresh pair of kicks in an exclusively designed humidor? Yes you read it right, humidor.
The Saga Continues

It feels as if it was just yesterday that Lakers reigned supreme over the Boston Celtics for another championship. It was only last night that Lakers received their Championship rings before taking on another NBA season starting off with a game against Houston Rockets. Fifth ring for Kobe Bryant who’s hungry for another title and I can see the rest of the Lakers roster ready to take on the other teams for another three peat in the last decade. Awesome night started off with inspirational speeches and the ring ceremony. What a way to start the season.

Greetings earthlings!
The NBA finals are tipping off tonight and yours truly is feeling like a kid before Christmas. I would very much like to watch every single game, but then again I think I would not be able to cope with my daily duties if I did. Well, there are always reruns, summaries and results. But that’s not the same, damn it as I write this I am starting to feel like watching the damn finals. I MUST! GO LAKERS!
Kicks, kicks and basketball kicks
by Taavi Kuisma on Mar.03, 2010, under Headlines, Kicks
Hi Y’all,
I’ve been browsing not just new pair of fresh kicks for the summer (yeah, fresh purple kicks hunt is still on) but also a pair of basketball shoes for the summer’s upcoming pickup games. This edition is thus more focused on the basketball shoes. That said, what I recently came across with sure made me feel nostalgic. A pair of Adidas Kobes.
