You might have seen the Momotaro Jeans tram (or was it a bus) and all sorts of promotional material from pics to videos but this one’s pretty new. Momotaro Jeans vending machine collaboration with Pepsi Cola. The thing I paid most attention with was the pics of jeans covering the vending machine. I’m pretty sure I recognize some of the jeans. Nonetheless just to say interesting approach, but if you happen to be in the right place at a right time, you could buy your soft drink from a Momotaro Jeans vending machine.

We’re in the denim game not for the sake of big dollars and other material facts (aside from denim of course). Personally I find it much more gratifying to help people get their ideal jeans and hear their stories, not just denim but life as well. It’s a matter of building relationships that last possibly longer than the company or the brand of denim.

Everyone seems to be traveling around. Especially these past few weeks have been rather quiet on the project site with majority of the participants globe-trotting here and there. Fortunately there are some spare moments even during these trips which you can make use of in a most productive way.

Another two weeks, more jeans, more wear and more tear. On my own accord, the past two weeks have been mainly documented in iPhone format, mainly as I have been buzzing around with no hope of catching a break or digging up a proper camera. Ten weeks in and the project is progressing at a good pace. This week was definitely more quiet than the previous ones, but that’s OK. People are busy and there usually is life outside of denim. Nonetheless this week did feature some just to say cool updates such as Ika’s just to say rare acquisition. A pair of Peony Label Momotaro Jeans. The first Ladies’ Line under the brand.

A flash from the past. “Back in the day” that is few years ago, Momotaro Jeans’ Ladies’ Line was called Peony Label. The label featured ladies’ jeans that use similar fabric as the current Ladies’ Line but distinctive features such as different waist patch and yellow and pink Copper Label stitching on the right back pocket.

Time flies when you’re having fun, we’ve certainly been having plenty of fun these past few days. I mean if you count hard work as fun, but as long as you love what you do it doesn’t even feel like work. So what’s been going on with Project Wear and Tear. I’m obviously not the only one keeping busy but all participants have been a bit more quiet this week, although there has been tons of awesomeness packed in the posts we’ve seen these past few weeks.
