What should I do?
by Taavi Kuisma on Oct.27, 2010, under Headlines, Social Media & Advertising, Sports
It was just yesterday when I posted an article on the new Dwayne Wade ad. Well Nike has been keeping busy and the new ad with LeBron James might be even better than the ones we have seen before. The message is clear, Just Do It!
Dominate Another Day

I love how the basketball season brings up all these cool basketball related advertisements. I mean we just saw the Fast Adidas Ads and now the Jordan Brand has teamed up with Miami Heat’s Dwayne Wade for an action packed ad apparently inspired by James Bond movies. So through this video you can “experience the ultimate hoops adventure as Agent D3 begins his quest to return the Rings to Miami.” (Jumpman23)
Shoes too fly for NBA
by Taavi Kuisma on Oct.21, 2010, under Headlines, Kicks, Sports
Not that the guys playing in the NBA need any help with their vertical leap, Athletic Propulsion Labs have apparently created a pair of sneakers that will increase the player’s vertical leap so much that NBA decided to ban them. Although I am not sure whether this is just a myth circulating around the web or a true case, there are sources stating that the official NBA release was that the “wearer gets unfair competitive advantage” from the shoe. I mean this if anything should sell like hot cakes. Although there is nothing really wrong with my dunking game, I could use few extra inches of vertical leap. Especially since it’s been like over a year since last time I played a pick up game. Damn.
Fast don’t lie
by Taavi Kuisma on Oct.06, 2010, under Headlines, Social Media & Advertising, Sports
Men lie, women lie, even children lie but few things don’t. That’s right, money and fast. I knew the money part already but apparently fast don’t lie either. At least that’s what NBA star Dwight Howard and “Slim Chin” (played by Ken Jeong) claim. Their musical display sunk in so much gold it would make fort Liberace not to mention Gold Member look like street dwellers.
NBA Toys

We’re still waiting for the NBA season to kick off and majority of the players are either training, or traveling across the globe training kids in the art of basketball.
Sports Edition – Paul and LeBron

What’s good folks?
Last night’s match sure wasn’t. It was like Germany was under a spell. This got me thinking, could it be that Paul the almighty Octopus had a psychic control over the German team. Is it that his powers are like those of a Jedi? Just a little background on Paul, “Paul the octopus, who lives at the Sea Life Aquarium in western Germany, makes his prediction by picking food from containers marked with the flags of the two teams.Paul’s only inaccurate pick so far was when it picked Germany over Spain at the Euro in 2008. Spain won 1-0 in that tournament, but he has never been wrong since and has an overall record of 9-1.” (Reuters)
Los Angeles Lakers 2010 NBA Champions
by Taavi Kuisma on Jun.18, 2010, under Headlines, Sports
What’s good?
NBA Championship, that’s what’s good! Los Angeles Lakers did their thing and took home the trophy beating Celtics 79-83. Much respect to Celtics for putting up one hell of a fight, but in the end there can be only one champion! This year it’s LA Lakers who won their first back to back championship since their last run in 2002.

What’s good?
I mean what’s really good?
Just writing that got me thinking about an older Cam’Ron ft. Juelz Santana song, Hey Ma. I remember the video used to have a skit with folks going “whazz gooooood” on the phone I mean like “whazzuuuuup” but what’s good. Got it? If it wasn’t this video let me know which one was it. A message to Ma at mi casa. Hey Ma! What’s really good?
The Dynasty Continues
by Taavi Kuisma on Jun.07, 2010, under Fashion and style, Headlines, Sports
Greetings!
You know I’m a bit bummed about Lakers losing to the Celtics last night. I mean it was only 103-94, 9 point game but loss is a loss. The teams are now heading to Boston to continue the series. Lakers better pick their game up and not rely “too much” on Kobe alone. If Lakers are playing like they played in the first game of the Finals, it’s all good. Well fair enough Boston was the better team last night. Few days back I posted a little something on UNDFTD’s finals T and chucks. Now UNDFTS’s message to the world was “You can’s beat LA”, while I do convene to these words I still feel it’s good to post a little something for the other side as well. You know, it’s all in the balance.
You can’t beat LA
by Taavi Kuisma on Jun.05, 2010, under Fashion and style, Headlines, Sports
What’s good?
I’ve recovered from yesterday’s 24 h NBA Finals, Work, Concert combination and I will write a little more about the latter later today (or possibly tomorrow). Well then For now I have a little edition called “You can’t beat LA”. As the title inclines it does have a little something to do with the LA Lakers. A message directed to the Boston Celtics. The message is actually portrayed on a new line of limited edition shirts and Converse Chuck Taylor high tops with this title. The shirts are only available at UNDFTD stores and not online. Every shirt purchased entitles for a raffle ticket for a chance to win the Chucks. I posted a little something like this last year around the finals and knowing UNDFTD’s Laker fan mentality I knew they were cooking up something. Good look. For more pictures you can check out udftd.com.
