Visual update on the site – FINALLY

by on Nov.20, 2012, under Headlines, News & Events

It’s been a bit crazy year. Will share more of this at the end of the year in my “annual” editorial. But we’ve loved the “Maxwell sitting on a flying denim carpet picture” tad bit too much, so I have not changed it for ages. However I got inspired last weekend during our trip, of which I will share more on Project Wear and Tear tomorrow. And we took some new visuals that feature focus on the Lot 3010 Northern Denim Co. jeans after year of wear and tear. The scenery at the highlands was amazing, much like back home (Finland) during summer. Stay tuned for more and visit nordicdenimhouse.com for your Denim Fix. Christmas is coming, so drop us a line and we’ll help Santa Claus get you the jeans you want for Christmas.

Summer 2011 – New Look

by on Jun.12, 2011, under Headlines, News & Events

It’s Summer Time. Summer Time like Will Smith song Summer Time. To keep up with the seasons and to remind ourselves of the seasons (since Malaysia only has two, hot and rainy), we updated our site’s look with a a pic from our latest trip. The picture features not just myself but my lovely sister who’s visiting us in Malaysia, as well as a hidden guest star, Maxwell. More of this to come on Project Wear and Tear, so stay tuned!

New Horizons

by on Mar.18, 2011, under Headlines, News & Events

Spring season is well under way and although we don’t really care about seasons it is still a great excuse to do something different and re-invent oneself. The changes can be as minimal as a new pair of jeans or a haircut, but inspired by our semi-epic journey to Langkawi I decided that we need a new look for the site. Since we’re pretty much gazing at the horizon looking for fresh opportunities and growth, what better picture than one just doing that, gazing at the horizon.

Global expansion

by on Mar.01, 2011, under Editorial, Headlines, News & Events

It has been an eventful but prosperous start to the year of the rabbit, and it’s only about to get more eventful. It is no longer a secret that NDH Crew, myself included has been spending time in South-East Asia, Malaysia specifically and this visit is about to extend indefinitely. Although our business was established and runs from our offices in Finland, we like to think of ourselves as a global online boutique serving customers worldwide. With majority of our customers coming from outside Finland, it also makes sense to look outside the local borders and keep your eyes on the horizon. Expansion is a scary thought and for some it is more comfortable to keep defending the barriers instead of crossing the fence and checking out what’s beyond the local scene. This is not the case with us. Growth is inevitable on individual and business levels.

Tropic Thunder

by on Feb.19, 2011, under Headlines, News & Events

As the temperatures reach -40 degrees with most of the country enjoying cool -20 degrees Celsius climates, I thought that now is as good time as any to refresh the look of our beloved website. Starting from the home scene. I thought, why not bring some Tropical Thunder to the Nordic Denim House and BOOM! We have our new look for the season. I did some minor updates on the site here and there, nothing major just some ironing which I have not had time to do for ages already. Nonetheless head over to our Online Store and get your shot of Tropic Thunder.

New Year, New Style

by on Feb.04, 2011, under Headlines, News & Events

Life’s current is moving us forward and the year of the rabbit is well under way. We are in constant pursuit of improvement and nothign helps us better deliver than our fans and their feedback. Your feedback is welcome in all sense and as much as we love the good comments and feedback, we can take a hit and swallow our pride when necessary. Constructive criticism is always important and without that we would probably remain stagnant.

400 Strong

by on Sep.01, 2010, under Editorial, Headlines, News & Events

So we’re 400 strong. Not in number of employees, not in number of brands or products but in number of posts. Crazy huh? We had our 300th post just while back and it’s already 100 more. So The pace of our blog posts has picked up, and so has the number of readers, which I like. But one thing we will not sacrifice, is the quality of our writing and posting. We do want to expand the blog into much more than it is today. It’s awesome as it is and we’re not planning to turn it around making an epic fail of ourselves. No, instead we want to create a global point of cool/awesome where you can read what’s happening around the world but still find writing by real enthusiasts to real enthusiasts.

300

by on Jul.15, 2010, under Editorial, Headlines

This could have been a blank post but thanks to Vince it will be a post about reflection. I chatted with R about 300 trailers and other 300 related stuff to post on the blog but instead of this I think I will keep the post simple and clean. No pictures, no videos, just text.
