Patchwork part II

Although this is not an official Copper Label Project Update, I could not help but to share the latest piece of patchwork I did on the jeans. For the past few weeks I have observed part of the jeans’ stitching unraveling in somewhat critical spot. As the G003-MB Copper Label Momotaro Jeans are the only jeans I have in Malaysia, or the only long pants for that matter, I really need to make these babies last until I get my new project next month. So although the trusted Singer sewing machine is in Finland, I will not lay idle as I have what I would like to call a backup plan. A sewing kit.

Last two weeks have been memorable in so many ways. First off the important stuff like seeing your son lift his head up and actually holding it up while playing, spending quality time at home (still working but working from home) and witnessing most snow, Helsinki has had since 1915. That should be enough for a blog post already but what I have here might just be the most exciting project update this far. Or at least among the most exciting ones.

In addition to the shuttle looms and natural indigo dye, another important aspect in the production of Vintage denim is the sewing.
