I’m sure every Star Wars fan has at least once imagined what if Star Wars was for real. I’m sure there are quite few fans to whom Star Wars is real. Nevertheless, some have taken the initiative to actually visualize how it would look like if historic events were combined with Star Wars themes and I have to say the pics look pretty cool. AT-AT’s on the battlefields of WWII, Howard Hughes working on a ship paying resemblance to the famous X-Wing plane or Droids posing with people. Take a look yourself.

Relationships always have their ups and downs but sometimes its the hobbies or interests of the other party that can really stir trouble in paradise. Of course it’s all about understanding but when the other party is obsessed enough with whatever his/her interest might be, it’s sure to cause a problem. One such issue could be collections. Whether it’s video games, action figures, jeans or T-shirts, everyone has their tolerance levels. One housewife just came to an end of her tolerance level with her husband’s action figure collection.

Advertisements are great when they’re done right. When you mix enough tongue in cheek, style and just good concept you can do wonders with a 30 second clip. One of the best ads in the recent memory, aside from the ridiculous (in a good way) NIke Basketball ads. Combine a new car, Star Wars and well kids and you get an ad that will gain over a million views on the first day out. Like Volkswagen put it, “the spot features a pint-sized Darth Vader who uses the Force when he discovers the all-new 2012 Passat in the driveway. It leverages humor and the unforgettable Star Wars™ score to create an emotional commercial.”

LEGO and Star Wars mix well. I think that’s already obvious with number of successful LEGO Star Wars games and of course the LEGO Star Wars series. I myself have bought and built few of the pieces and I still have fond memories of building Boba Fett’s Slave I ship and countless other Star Wars ships with my brother back in the day. Now, LEGOLAND California is bringing in some heavy duty (and light) Star Wars inspired pieces such as huge Millenium Falcon built entirely of LEGOs. I think this part of LEGOLAND is something every Star Wars fan should visit, in case they’re wondering around at LEGOLAND. This again highlights why LEGO still inspires some really, really awesome creations. Awesome stuff.

OK, I have intended to get at least an Adidas track top so many times, but finding a good one in my size seems to be a challenge to say the least. Hey, I even have a cool Adidas track top for my son, but I’m still without one. However, I might have just come across another good reason to get that track top. What’s a week without some Star Wars or superhero related posting? In this particular post we combine our appreciation of art, pop-culture, Star Wars and superheroes. The art comes in form of a dope photo montage by Ukrainian photographer Danil Polevoy, who has combined historical photographs with beloved characters such as Darth Vader, Yoda, Stormtrooper, Dr. House, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America showing the familiar characters in interesting situations, to say the least.

Although I’m not too familiar with Spencer Davis’ work I have seen some of his “Booty Babe” sculptures. The one that got me smiling last week was a sculpture I spotted at J.M.E. titled “Trooper Babe”. You guessed it, Spencer Davis has taken the the classic Star Wars Stormtrooper helmet and placed it on a Booty Babe.

The passing of Leslie Nielsen was not the only tragedy yesterday as I also found out that the Empire Strikes Back director Irvin Kershner had passed away on 27th of November. Empire Strikes Back is probably the best of the Star Wars films so Mr. Kershner had definitely left behind a legacy of sort. On the note of Star Wars, I thought of posting info on a recent finding I made.
