I know it has been too long already but we’ve got the measurement charts for the 0701 Momotaros. Technical difficulties and scheduling problems, hey that’s all that is needed and you can expect slight delays in these things. So apologies for the delay in getting this on the site itself.

Well here we go, below you may find the charts showing approximate measurements for raw and wash finishing. Especially the one wash measurements are subject to individual differences. But the charts should give a better idea of the jeans’ measurements.

Mentioned a while back that I would be posting some post soaking 0701 pics on the blog. Enough talk and here we go, some soaking pics of the 0701 Tight Fit Momotaros for your reference and viewing pleasure.

The jeans were soaked in cool water (30 degrees Celsius) for about half an hour and then hand dried outdoors overnight. The good thing about soaking the jeans in cooler water in addition to lighter shrinking is that there is very little indigo/ color loss and the jeans retain their natural dark color.

As a result the jeans did shrink about an inch from the waist. The length also shrunk about two inches. The soaking improved the fit but the waist was stretched few times to ensure the waist size did not shrink all too much. Below you can see a picture of the 0701 Momotaros in raw form (left) and post soaking (right). Soaking the jeans in hot water for a longer time would have shrunk the jeans more but since the jeans will shrink a bit after the next few washes a “lighter” treatment was applied just to soften up the jeans a bit, heh.

We’re scheduled to post the size charts on the site shortly, apologies for the slight delay in that but we’re working on it, heh. It’s been a long time coming but I’ve got some pics and information of the new 0701 Momotaro jeans. The jeans have the same raw heavy oz denim finishing as the other Vintage label jeans. The jeans have a great slender cutting and provide a good fit. But pictures speak a thousand words so decided to share a few pictures of the new jeans. Do note that the jeans in the picture are in raw form and will shrink/adjust a bit after initial soaking. Thus providing even better fit. I will post some post soaking pictures as soon as possible. We’re also working to bring in the sizing chart for the design. So stay tuned.

In comparison to the 0201 slim fit tapered jeans the 0701 tight fit has even slimmer cutting.

The coin pocket has the hidden selvedge lining similar to other Momotaro designs.

The selvedge is also similar to the other Vintage label jeans.
