No longer. With a little of the proper attitude, an aptitude for mechanical engineering and what looks like the tips of sawed off Katana blades added to a spring-based release system you can now make your very own Wolverine-claws DIY-style.

Customs are important. In all the different aspects of the word, ranging from cultural issues to family traditions. Yet all pales in comparison to looking cool (albeit this issue of Stuff To Wear With Your Denim scratches the surface of one particular family).

Remember how awesome it felt when you began noticing the individual fades, wear and tear in your raw denim, and felt how the jeans began fitting like a second skin? The very same realisation that no one in the world has a similar garment can now be extended to leather jackets.

Langlitz Leathers Inc. offers custom-made leather jackets as well as other leather based products. But let’s concentrate on the jackets. Tailoring a suit is more than commonplace these days, but a tailored leather jacket? Now that’s something else. The company was formed around the 1950s when Ross Langlitz officially founded it after building jackets for himself and his friends in his basement for a few years. Now, six decades later, the family run company is still in business doing their thing spectacularly. And from the looks of it, the results have just gotten better over the years.

These days you can also get a set of leathers from Japan as well. Which means you now have two great options for a holiday. So whether you’re looking for great biking gear or just want to add some sweet-ass attitude to your wardrobe, Langlitz is the way to go.

If you’re hesitating just ask yourself: What would Wolverine wear? He’d wear Langlitz. Or the skins of vanquished foes. As a hat.

Moving on from the actual denim-centered posts that we’re all about to art.

Or what art is all about: Nice lines and then some. No, we’re not talking about women (though dey be works of art to be sure wid dem nice lines), but this time we’ve got a couple of spiffy paintings – something that you might wanna hang up on your wall.

The artist, Rogan Josh, has created these modern minimalist superhero art prints to show us that even comic book geeks can have style. Now if they/us/you had real style they/we/you would be lounging in a jacuzzi with a well shaken Vodka Martini in hand. If not, having that displayed is almost as good. Until you get that jacuzzi.

Maybe not Mona Lisa, but with the going price of US $18.00 a pop these make a fine addition to the walls of any distinguished man-cave.

Check out a choice cut:

UPDATE: Etsy’s not hosting the pictures any more as Rogan Josh’s taking a holiday. Full gallery (and orders after he comes back from his holiday) can be found from his personal website modHero.
